Re: next soccer question

Really surprised only 2 Canadian cities. Would have thought Miami would be a no and Edmonton would have been in. Literally forgot Edmonton backed out when I said it this afternoon. Boston in and Nashville out is biggest surprise for American cities. Nashville is growing fast, but isn’t considered a...

Re: next soccer question

I doubt Denver gets a bid, but if they do, the homeless can be swept (bussed) away. See: 2008 DNC. I don’t like Denver as much as I did when I lived in city proper (moved to Northern Colorado in 2013). Growth definitely too fast, way too many Becky and Chad’s living in apartments that all look like...

Re: next soccer question

Just going on the record here to say that Denver fucking sucks. Ha. I used to like Denver (20 years ago), but last time I was there, about a year ago, I just didn't care for it much. Too much cookie cutter development and homeless camps all around Lower downtown. Same thing is happening to Austin, ...

Re: next soccer question

Maybe KC will have invested in some street sweepers, or perhaps a crew to pick up dead animals on the highway by then. Yeah, I'm sure they will. When KC hosted the All-Star game several years ago, they spent quite a bit of money cleaning up the interstates, landscaping, etc. Just wish they would co...

Take it for what it's worth, but we'll know definitively by this afternoon.

Re: Royals

They keep putting them on the "free" streaming services. Today it is an unwatchable homer Toronto broadcast. Pisses me off I can't even get the local crew. MLB TV keeps damaging the brand. Not worth the cost. Yeah, but I don't have the time or energy to look up what streaming service the ...

Re: Royals

I can't watch the Royals on the teevee since I'm on Sling. Haven't watched a game in 2 years. Guess I'm not missing anything. Outta sight, outta mind. With the Royals being so bad and a lot of people unable to watch them on the teevee, they are going to lose a lot of fans.

what’s everyone’s thoughts on laws that allow motorcyclists to cut to the front of the line at stop lights? annoys the hell out of me. i keep waiting to see one of them hit somebody’s side mirror and for a confrontation to ensue That annoys me as well, I would never do it. I would treat a moto just...

Re: Motorcycles (motos)

man, so the other day I was driving in the KC area around 74th and Grand in my perfectly reasonable F-950 and a trailer in tow. I'm trying to get down the street with parked cars on both sides, when some asshole on a motorcycle won't stop doing wheelies back and forth in front of me. Suddenly he tr...

Re: Motorcycles (motos)

Thruxtons are bad ass, good choice. Ride where you feel safe then slowly work your way out onto the highway. Remember, no one sees a motorcycle. I have a 73 850 Norton Commando, 71 Triumph Bonneville 650, and I'm in the home stretch of finishing a rebuild of a 64 Norton Electra--picked up the new s...

Re: Motorcycles (motos)

My Triumph is pretty quiet for a moto. It's nothing like a Harley. I just bought it to ride around the city some, but already wondering why I bought it, but whatever. Already had one mishap, which was not my fault, it was actually an asshole driver of a dually truck with a landscape trailer on the b...

Motorcycles (motos)

Since we have an Automobile thread, thought I would start a new one for Motos. Anybody ride? I recently bought a 2008 Triumph Thruxton 900. I've ridden some Honda CBs in the past, but it's been a while. Still trying to get used to this Triumph. Completely different than riding a trike offroad..lol. ...

Re: Another mass shooting

There was an armed guard at the Buffalo Tops grocery store. A 56 year old retired Cop. He landed a shot. How did that work out? Are we putting armed forces at every church/mosque entrance and night club too? The Buffalo kid was also in full tactical gear, probably even bullet proof vest. Another qu...

Re: Another mass shooting

19 children dead, 2 adults. This country is messed up. 18 year old shooter had an AR15 and high capacity hand gun, mostly likely a beretta or glock. How does an 18 year old buy a high capacity assault rifle and the bigger question, why are these even being made?

The “average” American doesn’t need a big truck. Buy a Gladiator, Tacoma, Ridgeline, Colorado, Ranger, etc.

Re: Automobiles

Trucks are kinda handy especially moving shit. When I do yard work, we only have one day a year where the city picks up brush and it's mid April. So instead of just loading a bed of a truck up with brush, I have to clip the brush to get it so it'll break down to fit either in bags or on a tarp low ...
