I don't mind the colors, it's a classic look, not flashy, sort of like the Steelers or Packers.

Re: Kansas City thread
Yep I agree, keep Arrowhead where it is, put another $200-$300m into it over the next 10 years and build the ballpark downtown. Football stadiums are dead zones most days of the week and are too large to be downtown. The north loop area has long been discussed as a location. Close to streetcar and P...

Re: Mahomie
I guess I'm a bad fan, I still don't own any Chiefs gear...tons of Royals and KU gear. I might have to pick up a Mahomes head band.
Re: NFL 2018
I am putting a lot of stock in the Chiefs' first couple possessions. If Mahomes has had a flaw this year, it's that he's come out very overheated in big games. The Colts WILL hang 35+ on the Chiefs, so you really can't afford to have empty possessions early. Yep, if he comes out and over/under thro...
Re: NFL 2018
I just have a feeling the Chiefs are going down this weekend. Colts are hot, good running game and offensive line. I see us getting behind early and Mahomes trying his best to bring them back but ends up with some bad throws that turn the ball over. Just don't feel good about this one. Good thing is...

Re: Basement/renovation advice
Have a secret door or panel installed for a bathroom. Don't even tell the wife about it. That would be sweet.

What music does everyone listen to?
I seem to listen to the same music all the time, pretty much out of touch with new bands. My list below is my go to for Alexa.
- wilco
- son volt
- uncle tupelo (see a trend? Lol)
- johnny cash
- george strait
- u2
- Elvis (primarily late 60's and early 70's)
- Waylon, Willy

You're right. Under Obama we were, not under the Big Orange Loompa.

Until China and India quit building coal fired plants at an unprecedented rate, we are all screwed. An international focus on renewable, clean energy is the only way to reduce carbon emissions in the long term.

Re: Basement/renovation advice
We did not put a toilet in the basement in our renovation because it would have cost a lot of money and required a good amount of concrete to be cut and repoured to get the drainage right. I wish I would have done it. Every time I have to run upstairs to go to the barhroom I cuss at myself for my d...

Re: Used car buying
My gf has an Audi Q3, probably the size of a CRV. Nice, tight SUV. I have an A4, which is a sedan. I'm a big Audi fan, have owned several and I can at be an asshole driver, but usually only when other idiots can't drive in a little rain .

Re: In Larrytown this weekend
Too bad Italian Garden died. Downtown KC has drastically improved in the last decade, but I still think it looked so much cooler before White flight killed the city. http://static.flickr.com/58/180871869_195579550e.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/originals/e5/cf/21/e5cf21b7f0b80450cdec80ea68b1189c.jpg I a...

Re: In Larrytown this weekend
I'm off all next week through January 2nd, probably be bored to death by Christmas Eve. I might make a trip to Larry, not sure. I live in KC, so if you venture into the big town, shoot me a PM. I live a block away from Bier Station in Waldo.

Re: DIY Wireless Home Alarms
I have the Ring Alarm system...bought on Cyber Monday for $150 I think. I like it because I also have a Ring doorbell. Probably similar to SimpliSafe, easy, DIY setup, can add more sensors as needed. I pay $10/month for monitoring, but honestly I only set it when I'm out of town for work or somethin...
