Re: Automobiles

We are going to require more of our grid to make 100% EV feasible. Thats a fact. 61% of our power generation in this country comes from Fossil fuels (natural gas and coal primarily). https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=427&t=3 Does the drop in fuel consumption for electric cars offset the...

Re: What music does everyone listen to?

haha yea its kind of an odd mix. mainly old school country and old school rap with some old school rb and some newer folksy stuff mixed in. Just enough grunge to keep it interesting. What station is this? I generally listen to the Americana station on Alexa for everyday tunes, but sometimes play 80...

Re: Gitting Rid of a Bee

Current plan is to sneak attack after dark. I think it's a carpenter bee and it's protecting a nest somewhere around the deck. I'm spraying the hell out of the deck tonight. Might be the time to admit defeat and just burn the fvcking house down. Pdub can probably help you fabricate some doorbell fo...

Re: Gitting Rid of a Bee

I like bees, never had a problem with them, but hornets/wasp are Satan’s offspring. Last year I was getting my lawnmower out of my shed, and 2 hornets dive bombed me and both nailed me in my right shoulder. Talk about a throbbing pain that lasted for hours. In the end, I took the little fvckers out.

I would normally agree with you on this. But I want my deck back.

The dog is out laying on the deck. The bee made a move at her and then just ignored her. No dive bombing.
He’s just sweet on you.

4. Charlie Sheen. Last time I was in LV probably 10 years ago. Saw him walking through a restaurant, I yelled out Charlie Machine (I was a bit drunk). He came over and bought our group a round of drinks.
5. Blue tshirt that says Atari on the front

Not sure if Outer Range has been mentioned, but it's been pretty entertaining, kind of like Yellowstone but with a mystery/sci-fi twist. On Amazon Prime.

Re: 5 Not Good But Still Questions I Am Asking For a Friday in May

2012 was a very interesting year looking back. It quite literally changed the trajectory of my life. Upending every aspect of my life and by the end my life was totally changed; a defining turning point in my life. Yeah, 2012 was a bad and great year for me personally. In July 2012, I had to put my...

Re: The Great Outdoors

We've had so much rain, I can't cut the grass. Finally had a dry day yesterday and started to cut it. Then I was chased outta my backyard by a bunch of giant GD bees. I hate those things. It’s been overcast here in KC all day with wind gusts up to 45-50, but it rains for 2 minutes then nothing. I m...

Re: The Great Outdoors

I have my own approach and method for a fool proof and beautiful lawn. Follow carefully. 1) On the 15th of every month, I send $250 to Mexicans that take care of my landscaping. 2) Every Sunday, I drive around the front of my house on my way to whatever patio I decide to have a Bloody Mary / margar...

I also try not to use weed killer except on gravel surfaces or other areas i want barren. I try to overseed the shit out of the ground and choke out the weeds with an overabundance of the seed I want to grow. Doesn't always work, but seems like a more kind approach to the ground Yeah I don’t use we...

Yeah, I try to do that, but always forget or don’t get around to it. But yes, when the snow melts, it pulls the seed down.
