Lobster, I’m trying to figure out from this thread what you point(s) is. How are you defining 3rd wave feminism?

Re: Last names
Honorable, Dr, and Reverend do not denote gender. Can we survive this?

Re: Last names
Good point about referring to teachers with the honoring title. I agree completely. Several of you brought up the gender identity benefit of Mr and Miss,Ms,Mrs. The only reason I can think of this being a benefit is because our pronouns also have gender identities. I work with very foreign names so ...

Re: Last names
I don’t have my kiddos last name. It has never been a problem. Zero. Flying internationally with just the two of us. Crossing the US-Canadian border. Medical doctor’s offices. Schools. Just never ever an issue. Also, we look nothing alike.

Re: Last names
Related to gender and names, I wish we didn't have Mr and Mrs (or Miss or Mx etc.). I do not see any honoring significance with those terms. Honorable and Dr at least describe something someone earned.

Re: Shut it down.
I love opinions contrary to mine. But there are few opinions here. Mostly ill-informed rants/memes/and other assorted miscellania intended to reassure one's place in the self-created moral and social order. It's our political ethos in microcosm. What do you expect when no one is really open to chan...

Re: Last names
I know two dudes who combined their last names (without a hyphen) into something new. It actually became a nice sounding name and better sounding than either of their fathers' last names.
To be fair I should ask if any would be open to taking their wife's father's last name?

Last names
Dudes, when or if you get married to a woman, will you ask your love if she wants to keep her last name or take yours?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.

Re: Shoe money trial
I’m not gathering a stake and tinder yet, but just saying hypothetically... Can I sue Bill Self if he defrauded KU and I paid for a rule-following team to follow? If a coach knew about it, then it is the coach doing the defrauding rather than a shoe company. Your example is silly and stupid...and i...

Seahawk, You have spoken often of the integrity and service of your husband. I’m very sorry for your loss. Then to be dealing with the immense storm destruction... peace be with you. I, as I posted yesterday, concur that percentages by board are bogus numbers for all at this point. I don’t know if I...

Now that I’m on my phone, I realize that the “return to the X board” isn’t even available (it is in the lower left corner on the full version). Getting a good sized link (button?) for this would be SUPER!

Re: A little history
I wasn’t nearly good enough to be in the basketball band. But all marching band members could get into the bball games for free. This was the day of paper tickets. We just had to enter via the southwest entrance and get our name checked off of a list. To this day, when seeing college bands on tv, I ...

Re: Weary o Winning
How is it that the UN can house 15k Syrians of all ages, in plastic tents, in the dessert, in a single camp in Turkey, But we have to break up children and parents and pay swindlers mega (maga?) bucks and the wee tiny children are kept with the creepy ones? Seriously, if Trump thinks getting Mexico ...

Re: Welcome to Kansas Crimson
Two of the things I click on the most have the smallest text. Can the "Return to "Board Title Here"" link be made bigger? The other tiny links are to mark the thread/board as read. Mostly this is an inconvenience on the mobile version. Thanks for your consideration and all the wo...

90% of the posts on the pitical board are by conservative users. But OK. 312= HouseD 187=DC 154=ousdahl 108=Plano 106=twocoach (90% of total posts) 78=count 76=geezer 70=trad 62=seahawk(97% of total posts) 47=dolomite (100% of posts...sock?) The "percentage of total posts" info is really ...

Re: A little history
I was in the KU marching band in 1992 (just one year; checked that off my bucket list). The football team was good that year (Aloha Bowl winners; Glen Mason-coach). The crowds were good that year (31-48k at Memorial Stadium). I had attended KU Band Days during high school, so I enjoyed the football ...
