Re: The Travel Thread
Let them fail. They only get by financially because we give them the sky for free . We should be investing our efforts, brains, space, and money in something a lot more sustainable and efficient. Speed is no longer that important since humans being there in person is no longer required the vast majo...

Re: F the NCAA
It is hard to say since we have been living in the Golden Age of an elite Blue Blood, but this current situation may only be a flash in the pan if the money that supports it leaves. Every mid-major has become a triple AAA team whereby the best talent will leave. So fewer senior-led cinderellas in th...

Re: Automobiles
I did keep my car after it was totaled. I had to make sure they never loaded the car on the trailer to take out of town while I made my decision. I used the money they gave me for the car to have it repaired at another place that would fix. Remember that "insurance" repairs have to use new...

Re: The Roof, The Roof
The films are incredibly varied and easy to apply. Having paid more for front entry doors than my car, only to be disappointed with the wonky glass design, I wish I had just gotten a film. The office has films on interior and exterior glass and they look great. I have used a variety of designs at ho...

Re: Official Gonna Have Our Way with the Cougars Thread
Very nice February statement win. I thought I was getting tired of college basketball (portals, my own life's distractions), but I think I was just tired of losing (spoiled fan).

1. D. I would HATE a 30-point win (Boring). I am hoping for an interesting/exciting game. I don't care who wins, but I will be pulling for the Chiefs. 2. A look like the only shoes that could physically be worn AND keep my feet protected in February weather. 3. Yes. You should not have even apologiz...

I could rethink my Bilas choice (Duke and all), but Sandler seems like a goof who never grew up, snapped bra straps in junior high, and tries to make fun of people who do not think he is funny. I will steer clear.

stealing (this was the hardest question)
Bilas or Obama because I think they would actually enjoy watching the game
Trump isn't looking so good
NFL football (this describes my life now)

Trump says that since Haley lost, she should not act like she won. Thanks for the insight, Mr. Election Denier, Sir.

Re: 2024
I'm shamefully unaware of illegal immigrants in my midst. Of the legal immigrants, 1) they keep my bridges and buildings safe because the US is not producing enough domestic civil engineers (see ASCE data and infrastructure report cards) 2) they milk the cows and pick the crops in terrible condition...
Re: Refs
You are right. The rules seem to encourage the QBs to get out of the pocket and scramble (fun to watch), but seeing the QBs repeatedly throw the ball away is an anticlimatic snoozefest.

Re: 2024
I heard Trump on the radio this morning speaking about how the Iowa governor would not endorse him even after Trump reminded the governor about the good things he did for Iowa. The governor said they wanted to remain neutral. Trump said it was not a quid pro quo, but that he fires people who do not ...

Re: 2024
Trump surrounds himself with yes-people and fires them if they don't do what he says. Biden is surrounded by people who know how government is run (ya know, they have done government before and know how to do it with some sense of decorum and decency for all people). If both candidates are mentally ...

I turned off KCrim when I saw covid coming. The end to the 2020 season (on these boards) is wonderful. Thanks for this. I needed to see One Shining Moment today!
Re: Refs
I see mention of rewarding and penalizing the offenses and defenses for their good efforts and risk taking. What is the rationale for rewarding a pressured QB, out of the pocket, with only a loss of down when the QB throws the ball out the back of the endzone or to (essentially) no one to avoid a sa...
