Re: SCOTUS
** That we accept as matter of course that a judicial body has a “majority” is in and of itself an indictment of its legitimacy. I agree. Although I do wonder it you'd feel the same way if the Dems had the "majority". Yes, I would. There is a reason why the lady holding the scales is blin...

Re: SCOTUS
The “majority**” on SCOTUS, I guess, represents the worst elements of our society: it’s made up of sexual predators, grifters and a handmaiden.

Re: SCOTUS
That is disqualifying. Probably illegal too. You think the Roberts Court cares about minor details like legality and ethics? Those are for the plebes Yeah, yeah, yeah, maybe, but what a great comeback by the Alito's to the neighbor they had an argument with, that (allegedly) inspired Alito's wife t...

Re: 2024
choices! Just as intended. Take it up with the Founding Fathers. the founding fathers stipulated that we be limited to 2 "choices" bought and paid for by lobbies? As Shirley points out FF indirectly gave room for the corrupted SCOTUS to give us a perverse interpretation of Election Law. D...

Re: 2024
We are a massive nation split into 50 pieces forever tied to an overarching document that founded our nation hundreds of years ago. Changing the fundamental way we elect our leaders isn't something that is going to happen in an election cycle or two. Tweaks will happen but the system will always ha...

Re: 2024
so, what your saying is that I'm forced into voting for the preselected, pre-approved, handpicked octegenarian thay they've shuffled to the top of the ballot as my only other option. The illusion of choice. It's like the fake thermostats in hotel rooms to make people feel like they have the control...

Re: 2024
Sparko is saying you have a choice between an authoritarian running for president who will sieze your assets and maybe force you into a camp in a dystopia where voting is suspended forever. And a guy doing a pretty good job running a nation of divergent interests. so, what your saying is that I'm f...

Re: serve and protect
It was reported widely, by reputable news outlets (among my sources, NPR), that pro-Israeli “protesters” in the UCLA incident were clearly armed with sticks and other weapons while the pro-Palestinian protesters were not. It was reported that the former group was there looking for a fight and violen...

Re: Uncle Joe
I don't have answers - other than some extreme ideas/suggestions that will never happen. I'll keep searching. . . . The thing that makes me smirk to myself is that a part of my job is to help Uncle Joe (and other Dems) get re-elected. While I prefer him over the alternative/s, he's not someone I am...

Sure, Jan: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53677049342_c8d5023a48_c.jpg So if our intelligence services determine a domestic rival to be a Russian asset and a threat to disclose top secret documents/information....can we go ahead and pull the trigger? Asking for a friend. It would seem that the...

Re: Charges
Are they going to find him guilty of anything meaningful? what would you consider meaningful? i think a guilty verdict for any of the felony charges will do notable damage at the ballot box. i would consider that meaningful, even if there’s no actual jail time (which i don’t see happening anyway) J...

Re: SCOTUS
It took an awful lot of restraint on the part of the Solicitor General to not blurt out to Alito and Thomas “Are you always an idiot or do you only become one when you don a black coat?”
