Pete Rose was banned for gambling on baseball.
Interested that Ohtani got off pretty easily there.

Re: What happened to the immigration thread?
Pet peeve, and i'm sure it'll get construed by some to a form of racism, but I am just not a fan of emphasizing certain words with an accent if you aren't speaking with that accent. When I speak in German, I try as best I can to emulate words in the dialect - say I was trying to say Kansas City ...

Re: Kansas City thread
meh aside from a few old timers, Mass seems to always be a revolving door of retailers I think less traffic ( people not cars ) would mean even worse turnover. maybe? on the flip side, if it were to be paved over and turned into a grassy mall with local artists’ work on display, and maybe even a ...

Chicken egg but I don't think Grimes is running the right plays to get our guys easy ( easier ) separation and Jalon is having to make tougher reads and throws...and is getting exposed. He could be hurt. Or, I think he never was as good as we made him out to be - he torched some poor defenses ( Duke ...

The way Mass is laid out I think the stores would needlessly suffer and Lawrence doesn't need that right now.

Re: Kansas City thread
KC's got to get over the belief, for people to be able to drive their own cars to precisely where they want to go, in all cases. This is it. It's a fat, lazy, midwestern dump. Mass should probably be closed to vehicles as well. But, same reason. I think Mass is different though it could certainly ...

"I, personally, think the bolder (and long-term better) play would be to close the center of the Plaza to personal vehicles, and instead have nodes on the borders/corners for parking and even dropoff, and then a network of small (electric, autonomous?) low-speed vehicles to provide a connectivity ...

Re: As the great Marvin Gaye would say/ask, What's going on - with this site?
I think, since I spoke with Dreamhost's support team about backing up our database, they might be intentionally limiting our bandwidth simply because we popped up on their radar. If it keeps happening, i'll have to do my bi-annual look up other hosts, get ready to move to one of them and demand the ...

What are people's expectations tomorrow?
Would getting a win change your tune on any B12 title chances?
And what would loosing mean?

Re: NFL Season 2024
While I do not care for Aaron Rodgers, I care for the Patriots even less so, and it is comforting to know that they are who I thought they were, a bottom of the barrel team that will only win if their defense plays at it's peakiest of peaks.

Re: As the great Marvin Gaye would say/ask, What's going on - with this site?
The size of the content of the font is 1.1 em which in this case is just a touch under 16 pixels. 16 pixels is a very typical size for large bodies of text ( which in Shirley and japhy's case can be often ). I'm not certain if the new update changed that slightly but it looks pretty much the same on ...
