Re: AOC

Defunding the police? Now all the criminals will know exactly where they should go to not face resistance. If Minneapolis wants to become the next Somalia, they are succeeding. It's yet another example of how people have lost the ability to come up with a solution that isn't black or white. Just ima...

Re: why the greatest economy ever...

Fuck that, I can already hit $200 at the grocery store pretty easily without buying meat or alcohol. It feels like the prices hits have already arrived at the store. No sense for a grocer to not capitalize on the increased business. True. I've noticed it as well. Just imagine how much higher it cou...

Re: why the greatest economy ever...

Here's what I think will happen. Inventory is "low" for now, and will remain so through the summer. 50+ million unemployed means foreclosures are going to start coming on the market in October/November (after the forbearance ends). Many more foreclosures will hit the market in May/June 202...

Re: why the greatest economy ever...

We may see deflation last for a while. Inflation may not really become a problem for years to come. I'm telling all my friends not to buy anything expensive until 2021. Homes, cars, etc. are going to come down significantly in 2021-2022.

Re: why the greatest economy ever...

I don't know to post this so I'll just post it in here. Our Fed has printed over 7 trillion dollars this year, which obviously an insane amount. Some speculate that other countries will want to eventually stop using the dollar as a reserve currently. While that may be unlikely to happen in the shor...

What's the false positive rate? I don't trust any of these tests to be accurate enough even if I could get my hands on one.
That's why I've held off. That and the fact they are over $100.

Re: COVID-19 numbers

A lot of people define socialism in different ways, or in some cases, incorrectly. Some define it as the "redistribution of any tax dollars", while others define as spending tax dollars on certain things they don't agree with. If one defines it the former, I am very much pro redistribution...

I don't agree with that. However, I do believe the media wanted there to be riots so that they could blame it on Trump.

Re: The Worst People in the World...

In this situation, probably agree with you. However, it's not always so easy to know if the suspect has a gun. Those looters in St. Louis, one of them shot David Dorn, and I'm betting Dorn tried to stop him. You cannot predict what the person is going to do in that kind of situation, and running mak...

Re: The Worst People in the World...

Ever since Michael Brown was shot (a ridiculous amount of times), I've thought we need a better way of stopping people when they are running away. However, if and when the suspect reaches for a police weapon (gun, taser) that is a horse of a different color. The officer's life could very well be in ...

Re: The Worst People in the World...

Granny, no one wanted to see him shot, but you would lying if you told me he was wise for fighting back like that and expecting the result would end in his favor. Really stupid move. Now if there was one thing I would like to see is we need a non-lethal way of stopping people when they are running a...
