Re: NBA draft

Furphy measured 6'7.5" without shoes at combine. Not going to help his stock. Don't think it'll hurt either. He projects as a SG/SF. That's NBA size for those positions. He's what he was expected to be without shoes. I'll leave it up to others to decide if that hurts him, helps him, or doesn't...

Re: NBA Playoffs 24

FWIW I wasn't even watching til late in the 4th Q and I did love the late swished 3 and his fire-em-up attitude afterward. But I must say Joker is unlike any other player and he did mention CB in the post-game court side.

I guess the scrimmage would be mostly for those trying to improve their stock.

Re: Recruiting

Right now Bleacher Report has Furphy at 28 and McCullar at 32. Obviously those are just educated guesses subject to performances at combine.

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup

It's nice after the mass exodus we had last year. Maybe this thing is going to go in cycles.

Well, Pope can coach basketball, but unfortunately that is not the whole job at the UK circus.

Really, Cal was one of the few guys that could handle all the PR BS that comes with that job.

Yes. I think I'll take experience over potential on that one.

Watch KJ show up next fall with a semi respectable junpshot
If he could just get proficient with a 10-15 footer it would be huge.

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup

Competition for starters is good. It means we could actually have a productive bench and not be decimated if someone gets injured.

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup

Not sure why we're pursuing Poplar when we're already loaded with guards. No activity on getting another big which I think would be more important for depth at this point.

Re: Goodbye Hunter Dickinson

Maybe we have better defensive pieces to put around him this time. I guarantee Bill will be working and tweaking all summer to come up with a scheme that works.

Better shooters will also help on O.

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup

Love it. Now I expect Brea to go to UConn and light it up, which will make me puke. But I still prefer the all around player that Griffen is. I would like to see one more big though.
