I don't think you're going to see big, flashy thinkpieces over it, but I think there will be a meaningful portion of his base that simply sits out (or logs protest votes). I think that portion will significantly outweigh any bump in R turnout.

The stuff upper lip bravado - the notion that somehow Trump gained more votes than he lost yesterday - is really something.
