So definite starters are Juan Storrs KJ Hunter Fifth is between Elmarko, Griffen, and Mayo. The two of those that don't start should be in the rotation. Then either Bidunga or Clemence playing backup 5 and maybe some 4. But probably not both, cause Self. I assume based on rumors no Kugel. Maybe reds...

Not worried about scoring.

Worried about defense and rebounding. Storr will need to be a better rebounder than he has shown. Same with KJ obviously.

My Wisconsin-fan friend says Storr "tries on defense... sometimes".

But also that he's an awesome scorer when not settling for threes.

Self needs to figure out what to do on D. Offense doesn't matter if you can't defend the pick and roll.

Three final four teams last season seemed to have it figured out - how to defend with an immobile center.

The thing that would have me upset would have been if we ran off McDowell to keep Philon. I'm glad that Philon was run off instead. I like McDowell, would love to see him at Kansas four or five years. The number of teams with zero players in the portal is in single digits, and Kansas is one of them....

KJ averaged 4.6 rebounds. No reason he shouldn't be able to up that to at least 7 if he chooses to focus on it. That's what I'm thinking/hoping. I think there was a lot of pressure on him last year to be a scorer. With the guys coming in hopefully he can focus more on using his energy and athletici...

His stats suggest he basically scores and nothing else. Not much rebounds/assists/steals/blocks.

Zeke is more of a PG/SG, Storr is definitely a SF who could maybe play some PF if KU is in a tight spot, Kugel is a SG/SF but is also a bit of an enigma. Still think Bill needs to get a big out of the portal. Why do we need a big? Hunter, Bidunga, Clemence - it's already crowded. I hope we're done....

I still feel like Bill needs to get another big out of the portal, unless he really thinks Zach is the answer. KU has Dickinson, Adams, Clemence and Bidunga so I think they are all set for bigs.
