I thought that was common knowledge. Do people really think it is people crossing the desert under the cover of darkness?

I know we are really fortunate to have a multitude of fantastic daycare available. Kiddo's first daycare was in Canada (where a parent gets up to 8 months of new-baby leave). It was great care. They had real cooks, went outside every day of the year, used many Montessori techniques, etc. Then we did...

Re: Half Donuts
Please send out a search party for Shirley. While you are at it, recruit more females to this space. You can probably find them on Facebook posting photos of those little donut holes on lollipop sticks at Starbucks after their pilates class. They are just trying to one up each other, but they could ...

Re: Modern feminism thread
Be open to the societal pressures that speak to a wife to be the super wife and the super parent and to to set aside her own needs and dreams to support you. I didn’t recognize those subconscious messages about society’s norms until atleast 10 years later. I was/am sincerely doing what I chose to do...

Sure sounds like you view some women who have different priorities than you as inferior... How do you figure that I didn’t choose to forego my own opportunities in education and career advancment to care for the kid/household/career? I’m living it! I prefer men and women to make their own decisions...

Check the statistics for Sweden. They have the highest rate, by country, of single households. It is over 50% now.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Oct 18, 2018 11:23 am Also wonder if the rise of single households correlates with the rise of our kids shooting up their schools because someone was mean to them?

Re: Modern feminism thread
Single households are on the rise. You can hire for anything. Everyone is happy except for the ones who gave up education/career opportunities and career advancement to support/follow their husband’s careers and their children. So a woman who chooses to sacrifice some of those things for family can...

The comparison of the article titles tells you everything you need to know. You said you were getting an ad when you clicked. So you're just lying like she is. Nice try. You can read the title before the add came up. Try it yourself. While you are there, note that one source’s title insinuates dire...

I am 49, work in academia, and never have heard a mature woman lament that men do not find them attractive. I suspect these ladies are hitting on you, Psyche. They are searching for a compliment from you. On the other hand, I know several that are waiting for their kids to finish school as they plan...

Thank you, DC! There is a fourth wave and the OP made no point. It took four pages to try and figure out what Lobs was thinking. Lobs, remember we’re you were so enamored with Asian women? I don’t think it was the black hair and petite frame. You wanted the stereotyped Asian mentality whereby the wo...

Hmmm. The only time I use kiddo is on message boards. I use the term kiddo to represent an ageless and genderless child of mine. We’ve had a creep on this board before so I didn’t want to divulge too much personal information. You might be shocked to learn that my real name is not DrPepper.

Perhaps, there is some bias at play. I’m a woman so maybe I am generally viewed as a harmless and nurturing person with a child. Did you ever consciously or subconsciously feel weird or judged when you were with the child in public without her female parental unit?
