Re: Mahomie
If you believe the Chiefs brass that single high safety could return any day now... I don't know if EB is a high safety type. He's a guy that likes to play in the box and be matched up against TE and whatnot. Maybe Parker will be better with Berry back, but Parker was truly awful against Denver. Al...

If you believe the Chiefs brass that single high safety could return any day now... I don't know Jackrabbit's contract situation (edit it looks like it would be a one year if you wanted to dump him to avoid the cap hit) but I believe it wouldn't be a "rent" a player like Earl would have be...
Re: Mahomie
Sounds like some traction coming out for Jackrabbit to the Chiefs. Steelers are in play as well.

Re: Salute to Service
planes. not jets. that was my typo.
Re: Mahomie
Was that an omage to the percentage wheel that Newell (?) use to run on .com? But your point is spot on. Depth is one thing the Chiefs have on defense right now. No need to rush Houston or EB back. Even though EB being listed as day to day reminds me of Self explaining when BP would be eligible last...

Re: Salute to Service
Per KU Football's instagram...
The Jayhawk font on the front of the jersey is the same that WW2 fighter pilots would inscribe on the side of their jets.

Re: Mahomie
He has and the emergence of KPass and Speaks as well. Still an 80% Houston is better than both of those guys (not including Ford).

Re: Mahomie
And this is becoming a dead horse around KC but that defense will improve by getting Houston back and if you believe insiders and the Chiefs themselves will improve dramatically when EB returns.
Re: Mahomie
Meanwhile the injuries pile up on the Chiefs. Tyreek and Hitchens both came out of the game with injuries. I wouldn't worry to much about Reek. He will be fine. Hitch, on the other end, "severely" bruised his ribs. He is listed as week to week. That type of injury is a pain tolerance thin...
Re: Mahomie
If EB is going to come back I am all for him taking as much time as needed so that he is as close to 100% ready mentally and physically for the stretch run.
Re: Mahomie
Always check red zone and third down. Those two stats will tell you a lot.
I believe that the Chiefs would have made a move for Earl. Imagine what that defense would have looked like with him.
We know that Houston is coming back. Same with Morse. Same with Dirty Dan. The real key is EB.

Re: Mahomie
Trade deadline coming up on Tuesday...do the Chiefs make any moves. I still would like for them to add a piece on the defense and just for reference I'm not talking about Pat Peterson.
Re: Mahomie
For instance, a certain QB in Washington, who went 20 of 32 for 178 yards and a TD.
Re: KU v. TCU
Fans stormed the field...all 1500 of them!
Re: KU v. TCU
He wins against Iowa State and KSU. Ku will get blown out by OU. I expect that. Semi competitive against Texas. Then the conversation to keep Beaty gets interesting.
Re: KU v. TCU
I highly and I mean highly doubt that.Lonestarjayhawk wrote: ↑Sat Oct 27, 2018 5:21 pm I think Beaty is a KSU victory away from not getting fired.
Re: KU v. TCU
Be smart with the ball here. TCU will get this ball back with time.

Clint is blowing this game.
Put pressure on the QB. Secondary can't cover for this long.
