Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground

A state representative from Columbia is running for Congress. She would not admit who won the Presidential election. Neither she nor her husband would get vaxed. Husband died of Covid yesterday after spending a week on a ventilator. Republicans.

Re: Afghanistan

None of this is easy. 1. President Bush said we must go. Very few objected. Under the circumstances at the time, I still think it was the right thing to do. 2. It was not a waste of time, until now. 3. Yes. Girls and young women had access to learning, something we take for granted. That needs to be...

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground

Same guy who said something like this in 2005 in response to my pro-life plan for food, shelter, and health care for all newborns: Why should my taxes go to that? Maybe it will teach women to keep their legs closed. That was around the time his wife then was taking it in the two hole with her person...

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground

If vaccines should not be mandated, then health care providers should have the discretion as to who gets ventilators. Personal responsibility.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground

Sorry, Governors. You are too late. We have no ventilators or assistance to spare. Please ask your constituents to rely upon their personal responsibility.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground

Someone needs to provide full quotes: Candidate Harris said that she would not take the vaccine if Trump told her to, but she would if the scientists did.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground

And, right now, I am past all this. Let the anti-vaxxers "own the libs" and refuse to get vaccinated. Send their unmasked kids to school. Then, when they come down with Covid-19 Delta and beg for a ventilator, tell them, "Sorry. Too late. You exercised your "personal responsibili...

Don’t understand the continued fear of Brown people voting. Just pass another law restricting the vote.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground

I'll say it. Governor Parson said, "I want you to get vaccinated, but I won't mandate it. I expect our citizens to exercise personal responsibility." An unvaccinated person person presents at Cox Medical Center in Springfield with the Delta variant of Covid-19. The hospital has limited res...

Remember how MU to the Big 10 was squelched. Rumors. Even Missouri's Governor was involved. That wasn't that long ago.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground

Some people need to read more about civil liberties. Those that think a federal, state, or local government can simply spy with impunity on someone's internet use (Facebook, etc.) forget about a little thing called "warrants" and the 4th Amendment. Similarly, federal, state, and local gove...

TDub: I respect the rights of others to not get a vaccine and go maskless and endanger the health others. Same goes for school vaccines.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground

I don't know how old TDub is, but I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. I had just dropped off my daughter at Kindergarten. The Patriot Act probably saved lives that we don't know, but I do remember talking to my sister who lived/lives overseas on my Mom's landline for years, and I remember hearing...
