Re: 2019 NBA Draft
Grimes is a good college player. but by NBA standards he is average (at best) at every aspect of his game. 6'5 is OK height for a guard but he isn't really a true point guard or shooting guard. he's not yet a confident or consistent enough shooter to play off the ball at the next level. he isn't pol...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft
people that dont understand why grimes isnt higher on the mock boards. what skillset has he shown that translates to the NBA? what does he do at an elite level? Theres a shitload of 6'5 guards trying to play at the next level Grimes would be wise to come back to school unless he absolutely blows up ...

Re: Ochai Agbaji
self made a comment along the lines of "If we would have known he would be where he is at we wouldn't have considered redshirting him" in reference to removing the redshirt from Ochai in early January. Makes it sound like they obviously knew he was going to be a good player for us, but he ...

Re: Ochai Agbaji
westbrook is an awful comparison. but in his defense he leading the league in assists this year. vick has had some bad turnovers recently. but in his defense he is being asked to do a lot more this year. be more of a playmaker on the ball. he had the luxury of playing on the wing with frank mason an...

Re: Doke OUT for Season.
You know. I was looking at KJ lawsons numbers at Memphis. He is much better than what he has shown thus far at KU. He seems to play well alongside Dedric. Dare I say he may be a good option to start at the 4? He’s versatile enough to guard the perimeter... I mean, Garrett just doesn’t give us much ...

Re: Vick
Yes. Vick=talented. If you’ve seen some of his 30+ point games you know he has talent. Dedric=talented. Could be B12POY. Dok=talented. If he gets the ball by the basket there’s no stopping him. Dotson=talented. His speed from end to end is in the best Self has had. Grimes=talented. We are starting ...

Re: Vick
Self sits Vick the final 8+... I liked that. self was sending a message. Vick sucked ass today. and we all know it. Vick has been amazing at times this year. So I'm not hating. We have a lot of individual talent on this team... but to make the pieces fit we desperately need Vick to be our rock. we ...

Re: NBA 2018
that westbrook post from instagram doesnt even mention he is leading the league in assists per game either. his outside shot isnt falling at a high clip... but he is playing really good basketball this year. and OKC is winning. best defense in the league. Schroder Westbrook George Grant and Adams is...

Re: Dedric
KJ has actually shown some flashes of shooting ability. If he takes a spot up 3 after weve run a little offense/shot clock that isn't a wasted possesion. garrett has hit the occasional 3... but his shot is still so flat and ugly. he really shouldnt shoot from out there unless the shot clock is about...

Re: Jawhawks in the NBA
Marcus morris is quietly (efficiently) having the best season of his career. and the celts are starting to gel and rack up some wins. apparently hes performing well enough to start getting his name thrown into the all star conversation Morris is averaging career-highs in points per game (15.4), rebo...

As a GM of any NBA team... youd have to be pretty crazy or pretty desperate to trade for wiggins 150 million dollar contract right now

I didn't know duke was on our schedule?CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 10:29 am I don't see how we beat Duke w/o De Sousa. At the very least, he's an important part of our lineup in w/ that matchup.

Oubre barely made it onto to the court the beginning of his freshman year. was absolutely lost. and by the end of the year we couldnt afford to bring him out. stud. and ended up drafted 15th overall. so too early to worry about grimes

Re: Play McCormack over Lightfoot
I wouldn't mind seeing our starting lineup look like this until dok gets healthy: dotson vick garrett lightfoot D lawson. easily our best lineup this weekend and a reason self stuck with them the last 7 or so minutes. and seems like we would be able to rotate better with moore, grimes, KJ, and mccor...

yes. small ball isnt gonna work the way it did last year. not enough shooting keeps us from spreading the floor and its not an advantage.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Sun Dec 09, 2018 9:50 amAgreed. Small ball doesn't work well without shooters imo.

be patient with charlie. he can shoot the ball well. hes a scorer. he just needs to get comfortable here at KU. get some confidence and rhythm going. the shots will start falling
