Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
which is code for "i've been served everything on a silver platter. now these dudes want to make me work for it. phucque that. i'm outta here!" I mean, broadly, that's not wrong. And the track record of guys that have made that decision, versus the guys who didn't, would certainly suggest...

Re: Sports Gambling
The Suns are trying to win, like, 2013-14. I don't mean the specific players, but the whole plan.

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
Recruits have always flaked on their commitments when better recruits were brought in. This isn't new. Come on dude. I've been a KU fan since I could remember. I started a message bored. Don't do that - this is obviously different. I only remember a few instances like the Chris Johnson and Labaron ...

Re: Charges
It won't hurt him with his cult, I mean, base, which is ~ 40% of the electorate. But it certainly could hurt him with independent voters, which could be huge. I said this a week or two ago, but relevant again here - I think I misunderstood the possible impact of convictions. I still don’t think the...

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
If having to compete for minutes "makes" him want to leave then it is not a loss at all. I don't want guys who feel they are owed minutes. I mean, I have no idea what certain guys, whether here yet or not, think they're owed. But there are 100ish guard minutes to go around in 24-25, and I...

Re: Charges
I wonder if a guilty verdict would do damage at the ballot box. It obviously should! But with this candidate in particular, it wouldn’t be the first time some bombshell that would otherwise end anyone else’s political career has little or even reverse effect It won't hurt him with his cult, I mean,...

Re: Evil Rich People
There’s going to be a not-insignificant number of people - thousands? tens of thousands? more? - who will go bankrupt (which means we all pay) over this devotion.

Re: Charges
^^^^^^ i think there is a small, but not insignificant number of moderates and independents that just won’t vote for a convicted felon I think there’s also a LOT of social (and family) pressure on boomers and Xers to dump Trump. I could absolutely see people in that cohort use these “fake Biden pro...

Re: 2024
Could be seeing this through anti-orange glasses, but I think Biden will get a hell of a lot more of that 6.8% than Trump will get of Haley’s 16.5%.

Re: Charges
Does anyone actually care that he paid a pornstar hush money to keep quiet they had sex? Seems pretty par for the course for famous people. Everything requires an NDA it seems. I only care to the extent that it illuminates the craven, arch hypocrisy of the right - most of us here are old enough to ...

Re: Charges
It's not nearly the worst thing he did during his presidency ( tried to overthrow the Democracy ) but whatever sticks. The issue of course is that he did this to win the presidency in the first place. Was the underlying act itself that big of a deal? Suppose that’s between people and their god(s). ...

Re: Charges
I thought it was very odd that Trump posted the other day that this trial is in fact about election interference. Not “hush money.” Sort of undercuts the eventual downplaying he will do, of a conviction on election interference.DeletedUser wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 5:41 pm Are they going to find him guilty of anything meaningful?

I'm not sure Tesla's target market is "primarily environmentally friendly progressive types."
I think it's more like "primarily the type who virtue-signals being the environmentally friendly progressive type."

Fairly clear that Trump is purposefully violating his gag order to draw sanctions, which he will then immediately appeal as unconstitutional to the federal courts.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
There's been quite a few studies done in different countries tries all showing a statistically significant increase in cancers after the pandemic, that coincide with the large scale use of the mrna covid vaccines. Japan was the most recent one. Hmmm....? 100% of the people who got MRNA Covid shots ...

Re: Israel/Palestine
I have been talking to a developer recently with this in mind. His idea is to burn every city/town in Michigan to the ground and remove the current inhabitants. With some real thought given to amenities and optimizing recreational opportunities it could become a place that wealthy Californians woul...
