Re: Today In: FAFO

Oh, that’s possible too.

If that’s the case, then perhaps it’s time to heed the wondrous forces of supply and demand as applied to the labor market too.

That’s to say, if the wage rates you offer do not yield an adequate supply of labor, maybe it’s time to offer better wage rates.

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup

How often do we have a player like Storr commit in April?

It’s happened before. But, yes, the NIL/portal era has accelerated things.

It’s still a better option than, say, hanging onto Bobby Pettiford and starting him next year just cuz you got to watch him as a freshman.

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup

I too can appreciate the “like watching guys develop” argument but at the same time, we’re often only missing out on like 4mpg of mop-up minutes. Brutally bad take especially with Bill's history at Kansas and his long list of upperclassmen. Yea. But it’s not like every single underclassman does, or...

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup

I too can appreciate the “like watching guys develop” argument but at the same time, we’re often only missing out on like 4mpg of mop-up minutes. But three years from now, we're not able to reflect back and say "I remember when this guy was a mop up minute guy and now look at him out there kic...

Re: Today In: FAFO

I’m guessing he hired those undocumented workers so he could get around paying “legals” (eg legal taxable wages), right?

Considering the legal minimum wage for tipped employees in Florida is an extravagant $8.98 an hour, I wonder how much less he was really paying.

Yea.

It’s kinda crazy that there really might be some “undecideds” out there, still.

Re: an even more frightening perspective

Back on topic:

It’s been raining here on and off all week.

It’s kinda pleasant in itself, but April is otherwise usually a snowy month here, and we normally don’t see this kinda weather til June.

Re: Charges

I wonder if a guilty verdict would do damage at the ballot box.

It obviously should!

But with this candidate in particular, it wouldn’t be the first time some bombshell that would otherwise end anyone else’s political career has little or even reverse effect

Re: an even more frightening perspective

Good post illy. I don’t agree word for word, but I think certain elements do get to the point. I’ve been posting less and less about certain issues for the sake of just trying to enjoy the rest of the boreds - what’s left of them, anyway. Please consider it my effort to reconcile. Cuz the worst part...

Re: an even more frightening perspective

I don’t think it’s fucked up, nor childish, to try for positions like, “I’m willing to make the effort to reconcile.” Rather, please realize that’s me taking the high road. It’s also a conscious effort to change to something better than the previous bickering. At some point we all have to ask oursel...

When your target market is primarily environmentally friendly progressive types cuz your product is electric cars, it’s prob not wise to buy a social media company and effectively out yourself as a kooky right wing bro

Re: an even more frightening perspective

That’s not what I said.

For real, I’m willing to make the effort to reconcile.

Life is just too short to be assholes to acquaintances on the internet…especially acquaintances who you’d been on very pleasant terms with for years prior.
