A pretty clear Big 3 has been established. It'll be interesting to see how Garrett gets incorporated with them - if he continues to be ultra aggressive on offense like he was his last few games or if he defers to those 3.

Lawson is on pace for the 3rd highest DOTNET season under Self behind Simien 05 and Mason 17.

If he keeps this pace, 3 of the top 7 seasons under Self would have happened in the last 3 years - Mason 17 ( 2nd ), Vonte 18 ( 7th ), Lawson ( 3rd ).

Something is wrong with crimscore if shooting 6/20 results in that high of a score.

Lawson also had 5 assists, 2 steals and a block.
He was 6/6 from the free throw line.
Take those stats out and with 18 points and 14 rebounds shooting 6/20, he's at .710.

Thanks for the explanation. Makes more sense.

Watching Lawson struggle against KState inside offensively was eye opening (again). They're not even that big....I feel like the way he scores inside would result in 75% of his shots being blocked at the next level. He gets under the hoop and tries to sneak it up off the glass. Works against unathletic college players some games. Won't against anyone in the NBA.

And had he shot 6/11 instead of 6/20 he'd have had a 1.19.

Ben had a huge advantage by being a redshirt freshman. That redshirt year was probably a blessing in disguise for him.

I can't say that missing out on a National Championship is any kind of blessing.

Him individually.

I don't think he was the difference for a title that year...UK had a historically good college player. That was a great team that beat us. He certainly would have helped our chances, but he wouldn't have made us the favorite.....it's not like we were the 2nd best team in the country all year. That was a team that fought all year and got hot in the tournament.

We had to play Conner Teahan 17 minutes in the championship game.
Releford went 1-6, Conner 0-1.
We lost by 8 points.

We were down by much more than 8pts for most of the game.

We can go round and round about this. UK was the better team with or without Mclemore. Sure he's better than teahan. We all agree with that. He obviously increased our chances, but we'd have still been the underdog. We weren't a top 4ish team that year, we just did well in the tournament.

We were down 6 points with 1:40 left.
We were the 5th overall seed in the tournament.
We were AP 3rd on March 5th before our B12 tourney poopy pants @ Sprint Center Brady Heslip game.

Pointless argument. You're not changing my mind. They were the better team with or without Ben....and the Ben we saw his 2nd year was far from the Ben that we would have seen his freshman year. That's just common sense. He obviously improved a ton in his year off. He wasn't a top 10 recruit...and in 1 year made himself a lotto pick...Ben would have helped, he'd have likely been our 4th best player.

I love Ben. But that team was not as good as their tournament performance has made their legend grow to.

Almost none of this is true. The only true part is that Ben was not a top 10 ranked recruit but was a lotto pick.
