Bill Self is great at handling mentally tough players. I don't think it's necessarily fair to categorize guys as headcases when Self's style negatively affects them.

The mentally tough ones (Tyshawn, RussRob, etc) are able to take the benchings and things that could potentially destroy their confidence and get better as a result.

The not-as-tough ones can't handle it. They play poorly (Vick, EJ) and/or get shown the door out (Bragg) whem challenged.

But that does not make them headcases.

Wasn't RussRob going to transfer after his freshman year, but when he told his dad, he told him to quit being a bitch and stick to his commitment?

Official statement was “stepping away for personal reasons” but local papers said “according to sources” his absence from Late Night (Mill Madness) was disciplinary action. He never returned to the program after missing the season kickoff event.
