We went 15-2 before The Big Fella went down for the season. 11-8 after. Oh boy, we want The Big Fella to return for his senior season.
Didn't lose a single game when he played with wins over Tennessee, Michigan State, and Marquette. Wofford too. That last one was weird to say, lol.
That wasn't the only thing that was different about the team in November as compared with February and March.

Having Dok in for 20 minutes and DMac in for 20 minutes would be great. Full speed up and down the court. If you have a hot hand then you get 30 minutes some game. Dok isn't going to be drafted this year. I don't think he will be cleared for basketball until June. No team is going to draft him on his current film. HR is better off playing one more year at KU and hope for improvement and/or change of perception of NBA GM's.

Yup.
I don't think we have the roster next year to be picky about how long we think Dok will last.
Give me 25 minutes a game of Dok for as long as he can play and if he plays his way through a full season, good for us and good for him.

Toilet flush friday:

With that in mind, here’s a look at what the scout thinks of Dotson’s standing if he were to stay in the 2019 draft.

The scout’s franchise has Dotson slated in the 30-45 range of the current draft and a recent 2020 mock draft I saw had Dotson pencilled into the No. 29 spot, the second-to-last pick in the first round.

I think Dedric finds his way in late 40's, early 50's.
Other guys? Nope.

At this point, the mocks are ridiculously fluid for the last 30 or so picks.

A little common sense says that if Devon is a first rounder next year, well, he's not getting passed up this year.

But, I actually agree with you because I think Devon comes back b/c he falls short of a 1st round guarantee.

Also, there was no reason for the fucking LJW to publish that article about him. Doesn't do anyone any good and the LJW thrives when KU Bball does. I'm A-OK with a homer newspaper.

Of all the guys we lost this season, Dotson more than any other has the potential to keep moving up the draft boards.

if Dotson stays in the draft, it's likely MG starts and plays big minutes at point guard.

our other options are either:

- perhaps McBride will be further along than we expect, and that his ranking suggests,
- perhaps Self rolls the dice on McBride anyway for the practical value, or the simple aesthetic, of a "small" guard
- there's some other option out there that we don't know about yet, and/or that I'm just forgetting?

RJ can play some PG. Was thinking he was a Grimes " Wait and see what he does" commitment but It might be he is tied into Dotson as well. Precious Achiuwa may also be in play depending on what happens to Silvio.

He's the safest pick that we have. I see him in the 50's if he gets picked.

I think Dotson might get drafted (better chance than Grimes in my view). Dotson has a lot of potential and is super fast.

Lawson gets drafted. Dotson doesn't and comes back. Grimes doesn't and has a decision...

I wonder how many guys will be sitting around mid-second round and start hoping they don’t get their name called.
