Kansas Crimson Official Mitch is Da Man Thread

Post by jhawks99 »

I don't think we have a thread dedicated Mitch. He seems to take a lot of heat here for his defense.

The last few games he's been killin it. Boards, D, garbage clean up. Just need to quit jacking up 3's.

Seriously, I'm rooting hard for this guy. He's put in the work and it's starting to pay off.

Dude just has fun playing too. Always smiling, but is secretly an assassin out there on the boards.

Nice reminder that he had more blocks per 40 than Mo Bamba did last year for Texas.

Just for that, I'm going to my barber and asking for a "Mitch"

Added a bunch of muscle this year. Muscle memory rendered useless.

I’ve been hard on Mitch this year. Glad he played well. We fed off his energy.

He was a bit out of control tonight and missed a key free throw. But he left it ALL on that dead reptile floor.

Last year I was quick to point out that his block rate was misleading because so much of it came from him recovering from the weak side and getting blocks on another a teammate's man.

But, hot damn, that guy has stood up a bunch of players face to face the past week or so. I'm starting to like his spark. He cares.

What about the weird, not quite human, guttural noise he makes on putback dunks?

Personally, I love it.

He plays with intensity and passion. It may not always be pretty, but he has no qualms with putting his life on the line for plays during a game. You have to love that.

He's always brought showy hustle, but lately he's doing the less-noticeable hustling, like moving to box out and go after the ball on the defensive glass. The lack of that was always my gripe with Mitch, and now he's bringing it.

Thank goodness we have Mitch and good for him.
Coach has been bitching and yanking him all season. Fun to see him getting minutes now,

saw him and the walk-ons grabbing chipotle for lunch

nothing wrong with it, but not surprised that’s who he hangs with on the team
