NBA Playoffs 2019

Post by pdub »

Golden State right?
I want a Celts/76ers matchup but that likely won’t happen.

It's really unfortunate that Joel is damaged. Always has been, always will be. If I'm the 6ers, I get knocked out in the 1st or 2nd round and he doesn't play in games - I seriously consider trading him in the off-season.

It's Golden State's to lose. I have no idea who will come out of the East. I always discount the Raptors.
Are the Bucks really the best team in the East? I don't believe it.

Worthless series predictions.....
GS in 4 over Clippers
Rockets in 5 over Jazz
Thunder over Blazers in 7
Spurs over Nuggets in 7
Bucks over Pistons in 6
Celts over Pacers in 6
6ers over Nets in 6
Raptors over Magic in 5

6ers have issues with the Nets sometimes. I agree six games looks likely. Hope they don't blow the series. The 6ers could use a steadying leader like Mason. They have a tendency to run out of control.

But go Magic right?
That’d be fun.

I wish Ben Simmons could shoot. I also wish Svi played on the poor-shooting Spurs.

I know it's early and the game was late but no-one has commented on the massive record breaking choke job by the Warriors. Who is going to start the FIRE KERR thread?
In all seriousness, I like and respect the man but Steve Kerr has to bear at least some responsibility for last night and the 25 other losses the Warriors had this season.

In other NBA playoff action.....
Nice to see the 76ers have a 51 point quarter. That's what they are capable of doing when firing on all cylinders.

Meh, the Warriors are the only team that can beat the Warriors and they did last night. Tip of the cap to Kerr for sitting back and letting it happen so his players could see it was possible. The worst thing that could have happened from a coaches perspective would have been for GS to hang on and win by a couple points. They would have learned nothing from that.

They probably drop another game or two on their way to the title.

Does Kerr not get any credit for the "First in the West" finish?

Sure. He seems to be an excellent coach who is handling a huge room full of egos very well. That's no easy task.

Sure, he gets credit for the 57 wins. If he gets blame for 25 losses too.

The Warriors are so good that they get criticized for losing 25 games and not sweeping every series in the playoffs.

Good problem to have. Probably the last year they'll have this problem to such a large extent.

The warriors have been prone to mental lapses like we saw last night...and the Clippers are decent enough to take advantage.

All teams are prone to "mental lapses"

He's the Shaq of this generation. Both on and off the court. I like that he says what's on his mind and enjoys messing with the media.

You can pay attention to the assumed father protecting his assumed son but I got a kick out of the woman's (fan in the black shirt) reaction.
