In the mid-90s, Nordhaus was the first person to create a model that “describes the global interplay between the economy and the climate,” the academy said. The model pulls theories and data from chemistry, physics and economics and is used to explore the possible effects of climate policy interventions. Nordhaus also invented the idea of a carbon tax.

You hope you'll miss the worst. We all do. But the alterations are taking place so quickly...

I agree, I worry for future generations.

Making real corrections would require changes very few people, including young, environmentally-conscious and -activist folks, are likely willing to make.

Humanity, imo, for all its good attributes, is the pox on this planet. Neither stewards of our fellow creatures, nor the lands on which we rely.

Zero Population Growth (ZPG) used to be a thing. A goal-ish thing. It's never mentioned any more. Too late, anyway.
