The "Wall" IF it is built

Post by dolomite »

Time to play devils advocate.
I'm sure devious minds are already figuring out ways to get through or over it.
I've seen concrete saws go through the stuff just like it was butter.
There are oxy- propane torches that can melt steel, plasma cutters and the like.
Dynamite/plastic explosives
What about drones to carry over drugs/people?
There are jet-paks to carry a person up and over no problem? Then just attach the jet-pak to a drone and send it back over for the next person.
Money would be no object to a drug lord, if there's a will, there's a hundred ways.
Maybe this "Wall" thing should be re-thought.
Hire more border patrol? $5 billion would pay for 10,000 additional agents for five years.

Cheapest way: CONGRESS, GET OFF YOUR BEHINDS AND CHANGE OUR IMMIGRATION LAWS TO END ALL THE DIVISIVENESS AND SETTLE THIS MESS ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Hilarious that you think that this ends this and settles anything. As long as our nation is fat with money and jobs and opportunity, there will always be people who would rather live here instead of where they are.
Too many Americans simply cannot wrap their brains around the level of despair, corruption and desperation that exists in areas to the south of us.

So I guess we're screwed since everyone on planet earth has a right to seek asylum in another country.

So how many of these and future caravans do we let in? This is unfortunately a socialistic approach. There will be no end to it I'm afraid, very afraid.

Tell us something we didn't already know.

I guarantee you republicans like Mitch McConnell know, and they're counting on cowering fools like you, motivated by your fears, to support a rich kid who never made an honest dollar in his life, who cheats anyone he can, and who lies to you constantly and makes promises that everyone knows are total bullshit, precisely because you're a scared, whimpering coward.

And, you're stupid enough to call that, "winning".

Where in my post did I say anything about just "letting them in"? You have this set idea imprinted in your head thanks to the brainwashing of the GOP advertising campaign of what Dems want and it clouds even your most basic attempt at critical reading.

I want out money spent on building the best comprehensive system possible to handle the processing and security needs of our borders. The GOP wants our money to be spent on enriching their big dollar donors and a giant phallic symbol. Thinking that the wall simply fixes everything is childish wishful thinking. There's a reason why we have had immigration issues for generations; because it is complicated. A simple wall doesn't just magically fix it.

Concrete saws do not go through "like butter" plus need quite a bit of set up generator, consistent water supply etc. Not cheap and not easyto use and blades are ridiculous expensive. Qall is still a not good option

I personally am rooting for the drone-and-jetpack outfit.

That'll get you up, but how about getting down on the other side. Parachute?

In desert terrain, as soon as you build your wall, rainfall will create thousands of washouts that could easily let people simply walk through.

Face it, a wall is a fucking pipe dream. 100 Billion wasted.

That might be true, but the possibility of rain on dolomite and DC's wet dream only makes them wetter.

Yeah, but Mexico is going to pay for it, so it's ok.

You are assuming that this is problem we cannot solve. If solutions are implemented what will the GOP use to rile up the masses, and stay in office?

For starters, jail the first 50 people who show up in a minivan and pick up an undocumented worker from the parking lot of a home-improvement store. See how quickly that problem goes away. After all the (ostensibly white) employer is breaking essentially the same law that the (ostensibly brown) employee is breaking.

The immigration problem is one which the GOP will never agree to solve because it is in their best interest to keep it a problem. This is one problem we can solve but won't.

If you're trying to prove my point about not reading my posts, then this is a good start.

It's weird that you project on to me all your hate and fear, regardless of positions I've actually staked out.

Oh well.
