I stand by the comment that i didn't have faith in a team led by Dedric and Vick....because i didn't..

Never much faith but thought could be the best in the country.

"Pretty terrible year overall"

If you can't see that both statements could be true, then i can't help you. Arguing over posts from December 2018 seems a bit silly....but whatever floats your boat. I was never that big on Dedric or Vick, but you are welcome to dig back thru 2 year old posts if you want to find something positive I said about them to argue your case about my true feelings and "revisionist history".

I never said I liked Arthur Bryant’s.

Arthur Bryant’s may be the best restaurant in the country.

All the other restaurants actually aren’t that good. Arthur Bryant’s though might be the best.

But it’s not good.

Sorry, just prepping for basketball season.

Soon enough our team will be only up 4 at half and Doyel will be calling our team the worst Selfs ever coached.

It’s magically heartwarming.

I think that by “at half,” you meant “at any time.”

yeah Self just doesn’t seem to care any more. Really mailing it in this season. That divorce with Cindy must be looming.

Dedric's stat lines were better than the player.

But, he was really left with a lot on his shoulders.

Right. He wasn't TRob or Simien, or other guys with similar stat lines. But I think people blame him for '19, and he's pretty much the last guy on the list who should bare that blame.

I haven't heard any blame on Dedric until this thread, so kind of surprising.

I don't think it's a knock on Dedric's effort and production to say that a team whose best player is Dedric Lawson is no juggernaut.

We pretty much got 100% of Dedric Lawson.

Dedric would have been a key piece on a contender - if he had some other key pieces around him.

So instead of being a key piece on a contender, he was the piece trying to keep the train on the tracks as the wheels were falling off.

There was a lot immediately following tbe auburn loss....maybe just sour grapes and emotions...but it's not like there have been many positive discussions about him since then either.

Also one more shout out to Dedric

During one of KU’s worst years ever, still averaged 19 and 10, which is still better than all but a tiny small handful of KU player’s best years ever.

But the most impressive part was he did it while being double teamed for most of the season, as thee only big.

but we’re spoiled, let’s keep it in perspective.

A 3rd place conference finish and a tournament win is the kind of season BeaverFever slaps his tail to.

Newcomer Impact Rankings: Which college basketball freshmen, transfers will lead teams in 2020-21?

27. Bryce Thompson, Kansas (freshman): The Jayhawks are going to need scoring punch after the departures of Devon Dotson and Udoka Azubuike. Thompson can fill it up in a hurry.

69. Tyon Grant-Foster, Kansas (transfer): Like Bryce Thompson, Grant-Foster will bring serious scoring punch to Lawrence. He's the only junior college transfer in these rankings.
