Dude doesn’t quite have the same feel of most of our other stars-in-waiting as they accumulate accolades, but I’m not complaining.

I don't know what it is, I just have more skepticism now than I did than when Devon, D'Tae, and Frank needed to make the jump from good player to all American player.

Now, on the defensive end, he's going to be a f'n nightmare.

I hope he doesn't try to go the same route they did. He's best as a facilitator. I'm hoping he tries to reach double digit assist per game numbers and scores when it's the right play.

Something he did remarkably well last year on the offensive end was knowing his limitations and playing his game. That certainly gives me hope and thinks he will be at the rim (yay!) and on the line (eek) a lot as he improves.

We could use a little more from him than that, but we are also heavily relying on our other options.

That game he had when Devon was out, the 15/5/5 game is exactly what I expect out of him this year. If anything, 7 or 8 assists would not be unheard of.

I'll go out on a limb and say he gets 1 triple-double this year.

Lol. yeah right. I think he will be a very reliable 3 and D guy for us. play a lot of minutes and be a very good role player. but him on a shooting guard of the year watch list is laughable I can't see him putting up numbers like that

I agree with you kid. Hell he might even get 2. especially if we have some overtime games and he play 40 minutes

Will this roster be one that eeks out a lot of one-possession wins, or one that can light up some 24-2 type runs and get the walkons some minutes?

Hard to see us giving up points into the 80s. When we play above average offensively, we’ll run away with a lot of games.

When we labor on that end, you’ll see some rock fights in the 60s.

We will take a step back in Kenpom ratings in both major categories - adjO and adjD.
Last season we finished 8th and 2nd respectively.

I see more like a top 20 adjO ( 17? ) and a top 10 adjD ( 9? ).

I'm much more bullish on the defense than you are.

It's not going to be the kind of defense with a world-destroyer at the back, but the size and athleticism everywhere should be really tough to deal with (and there's a world-destroyer at the front).

DMac may be more of a "world destroyer" than you guys are giving him credit for.

Plus Mitch baby!
