NET Top 353
NET Top 353
This probably needs its own ranking thread. Since ultimately it’s the only one that matters. It also provides the most laughs and cursings.

Kentucky on the bubble sounds about right to me.
I only came to kick some ass...
Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.

Number one Ohio State upset by 119 Syracuse.
Re: NET Top 353
You think this means we might crack the top 15 or will Syracuse jump us?
Gutter and frontbutt will definitely understand it if they do.

Loyola Marymount has a tough matchup against the Bethesda Flames tonight.
Don't miss it.

Re: NET Top 353
For sure. Paralysis by over analysis.
It doesn't need to be this complicated.
Re: NET Top 353
NCAA just had to do something different while models like Kenpom are closer to reality and have been for over a decade.
Re: NET Top 353
Yep. Sometimes data is just data. The NCAA has once again managed to completely fail at their attempt to turn that data into some sort of meaningful ranking.
I thought the NCAA couldn't create anything more useless than their RPI formula but they managed to accomplish it.

Jesse Newell says head to head doesn't really matter.
Also, that win sucks anyway, that's why we got jumped for the #1 spot in the AP poll, twice.

Re: NET Top 353
The algorithm is a trade secret. But, KU's victory over a BiG team enhanced that League's performance factor derivative determinant (Bad is>good if it is < Kansas). And secret practice film.
Re: NET Top 353
Man Michigan State and Tennessee are really good - there's no way we would be able to beat them.
Re: NET Top 353
KU is 12th as of today.
Big12 is top ranked conference.
Whatever the formula is, take care of the 12 and seeds itself.

Re: NET Top 353
The road record seems to be the issue for KU here.
Re: NET Top 353
Looking at CBSs updated rankings, I still have no idea what NET is looking for.
Our body of work is 8 wins over the Top 50.
Likewise, Gonzaga totes 5 wins over top 55.
Tenn, Virginia and Michigan’s resumes are “double digit victories”.
Based on that info, and our 12th place, it seems our late game let ups are weighted more than the wins themself.
