Marcus Garrett is:

A) the biggest disappointment as a Senior since _____.

Or

B) completely overrated by the KU fan base.

MG is my favorite. He has not disappointed me all.

What disappoints me is the administration allowing the investigation to drag on the program. That disappoints me.

Here are some things that pop out to me in conference play:

-KU is 8th in 3pt defense (38.2)
-1 in 2pt defense (45.1)
-2 in Blk% (11.1)
-9 in Stl% (7.8)

-9 in FT rate (25.5)
-2 in FT% (74.2)
-9 in tempo (67.5)
-8 in 3pt% (33.3)
-2 in 2pt% (51.4)

It’s odd in that there are extreme opposites all over the place. In general, KU is middle-of-the-pack in both offense and defense, but these struck me as a bit odd.

We should compile film of some of the shots that have gone in against us and send it to the review panel. Time served.

No one probably cares because I don't post here, like at all, but I completely agree with this. Seems this was done few times early in the 2nd half against WV and it was working.

however I don't think he (Garrett) was groomed as a PG once at KU. So now we are expecting him to fill a roll that he was not prepared for at the college level. Not say he could be, but just not expected once he was thrown into the fire, so to speak.

The other thing I have been thinking about is the "bulk or body type" of our team. I think we lost a real asset in Andrea going to Texas. I really think our guys "look" smaller. Muscle can equal endurance and I feel like we have been lacking in that regard. Just my 2 cents...

I think the loss of Hudy is a non factor. We have a former NBA trainer now.

That said, I also think PGs are overrated in Self’s system. So many guys touch the ball in this offense. We lack a true playmaker in the backcourt like Dotson was.

I'm also waiting and hoping that one of our guys, maybe like Braun during our last game, will start treating every game like it's their last. Our guys have to have some gut and drive... I've seen glimmers of this but not until the last 10 minutes (of a game). This has to happen as the start of each game. Sorry, but the days of "we are Kansas" isn't enough and I think other teams now know this. They're not afraid anymore to take on Kansas and it shows. We need to "Man Up" so to speak... Can we bring back Mason or Dotson to come back and not give a pep talk but more like a Ted Talk. : ) For the rest of the season????

Please let me know if you disagree/agree...

The team is soft. When’s the last time this starting 5 came out of the gate and punched their opponent in the mouth? Especially a good opponent...

Julian Wright was also a PG in high school. That's not indicative of what they're recruited to play.

agree. and if that changes, then we (KU) needs to offer additional support / training/ coaching to that end.
