Would love it. Just don't know if he'll increase value next year. He's around the 40-ish range on boards now. He might think it's too good to pass up.

Unheralded guards taken to unexpected heights by Bill Self and co.
He's so Aaron Miles-like, it's kind of wild. I honestly don't think Bill will want a grad transfer PG. I think he'll want to ride with Harris and Jossell.

Harris is going to have plenty of times where he has a line of 8 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.
I like Harris, but for him to really work as PG on an elite team he needs to be the 4th or 5th best player in the starting 5.
you mean 4th or 5th best scorer, right?

Gotta disagree with you, Newton. Och, could shoot himself up to a lottery pick if he could show teams that he an aggressive scorer and IMO, work on his ball handling. Right now he is an athletic catch and shoot guy but with even more work on ball handling he could be a better version of McLemore. Maybe a team reaches on him to stash away so that he can work on his game full time but as of right now he would have a hard time making a D-league team. Just to inconsistent and prone to shy away when facing guys who are just as or more athletic then he his.

Sounds fair.

Every time someone says 'x can't improve their draft stock' I think of Buddy Hield.

Right, or when they say, why would he stay, what's he got to prove?

I think of Frank Mason.

Those guys had the ball in their hands the majority of the time. Ochai does not.

I think of Frank Mason.
Frank had no NBA potential after his JR year.

My point was more about how much a player can improve in a single year, specifically from Jr to Sr year.

It seems the assumption is you're tapped out after year 3. And I think that's silly.

And he ( Mason ) improved enough to get an NBA contract.
So you could see how staying another year can increase your stock significantly - meaning Ochai could go from mid 2nd ( or even undrafted ) to the 1st round.

Agbaji showed the ability to get to the rim last night, I don't know why he doesn't do it more.

If he came back and that was a normal part of his game, I think it could help his draft stock a ton.

I would argue Ochai's stock has fallen in the 2nd half of the season ( his shooting numbers have dropped quite a bit ) to the point where it'd impact his standing/brand/outlook as a professional player to become the guy - which I think he still can be.

Garrett was the face this season, as a senior.
Ochai could be that on a better team.

An ochai who penetrates and a calm McMack is a pretty good one two punch.

Throw in a sophomore Bryce Thompson and Jalen Wilson.
And a Braun who has worked on his three pointer even more.
That's a really good team.

So right now, is this team better with Garrett off the ball?
