I think that is a second round pick in a nutshell.

I’d love for Och to have a long professional career, don’t get me wrong.

But, serious talk: has anyone seen him make a 3 from pro distance yet?

It just seems like if he’s a foot behind the college line, he’s shorting that shot by a foot.

even that last second heave before halftime last game - he was prob 10 feet behind the arc, and still shorted it by 10 feet.

It’s the damndest thing.

I think you're a little too hung up on this weird "he shoots short" thing

If he's playing in the pros, all his attempts will be from the pro line.

Just don't see it as an issue at all. Hasn't been for any prospect that's been scouted as a shooter.

The same question was asked about Frank Mason back when he was a pro prospect.

Frank Mason, the G League MVP that is out of the NBA because he's sub 6'0" and can't match up in transition defense?

Finally healthy last season, went 77/181 (42.5%) from 3. This is kinda strange.

Perhaps beaver did indeed give ousie the rona. He must be feverish, having a hard time with following a train of thought and maybe a bit delirious?

I guess that was the first step for "potentially-turning-pro" Och; helluva game.

For what it's worth, my buddy who works with Ochai's father told me last night that Olofu told him yesterday morning that Ochai's plan at this point is to test the draft waters with the intent of not coming back to KU; he also said that Coach Self has been 100% supportive with the decision and told them that he plans on filling Ochai's scholarship as soon as possible. Again, take it for what it's worth.

Every player who is borderline draftable should test the waters.
