Obscure Kansas Basketball Trivia
Re: Obscure Kansas Basketball Trivia
Man, you sure get the obscure trivia angle.
What coach/es came into Johnny’s tavern to eat a pizza cooked by ousdahl, and what topping/s were ordered?

Larry Brown...pepperoni?
Don't give up, don't ever give up. -Jimmy V
Re: Obscure Kansas Basketball Trivia
Coach/es are more recent than Larry, though you did get one of the toppings right
Re: Obscure Kansas Basketball Trivia
Yep!
It was Self and Dooley, pepperoni and sausage.
They were with two other dudes I didn’t recognize so assume they were adidas bag men.

Keeping the theme of Larry Brown era players (I will switch it up tomorrow for you youngsters).......
This former KU player nicknamed "Turtle" and/or "HMFR" (by a select few) was a H.S. teammate of Ben Wilson at the school that produced not just Ben Wilson but Nick Anderson, Jabari Parker, Derrick Rose, and Bobby Simmons.
He averaged 1.1 ppg his Freshman season at KU and 1.2 ppg his Sophomore season at KU.
He scored 2 points in the 1986 NCAA Tournament.
More than once he was seen eating (he was a big fan of M&Ms) on the "bench" during KU games.
He wore an even number for KU.
He is a BIG LeBron James fan.
I feel he is a great personal success story (after his basketball career) and he very well may have been my favorite player during my tenure at KU.
Who is/was this player?

Like LaTroy Hawkins was godfather for both or something like that..?
What Self-era forward and multiple MLB All Star went (together) to the same ~1,500 student high school in Big 12 country?

Re: Obscure Kansas Basketball Trivia
What KU Basketball player was cited for leaving the scene of an accident on Ousdahl road, later having to make a court appearance?
Re: Obscure Kansas Basketball Trivia
I don't know about Ousdhal Road but I know BG14 left the scene of an accident.
Related question.... How many KU fans can spell both his first and last names correctly?
