Pretty sure if/when anyone gives an "honest" personal "assessment" on here - instead of it being respectfully questioned/responded to - it will too often get ridiculed by someone feeling the need to be a snide _________.
One of the reasons why people flee from this place.

We are 10-years away from Frank pulling us to the World College Championship in Korea. He is used to not getting calls and just bulldogs his way to victory. Actually a good fit.

What an embarrassing team, scoring just 76 points and losing to a meh France team.

Having play-offs that drag out the season to 10-months long doesn't help. The best players are on overload. The best case scenario is getting the best from college and the minor league and spending time coaching them up.

Vaccinated people still get covid. Im assuming he is probably healthy and might not even have covid though. We just don't need to live in a world where we punish people for potentially being exposed to something. next thing we know we will start assuming people are guilty until they can prove themselves innocent

Lavine played today.
Beal however doesn't even get to compete I don't think.

I think you are implying the best players don't want to play. If so, I agree. Very little to gain by their playing.
I also agree that it MAY be best to get the best players from college and "the minor league" and coach them up. Remember when the Olympics were the "best" AMATEUR athletes?

As far as those who are playing, KD played what? A half a season?
Without looking at the entire roster, my guess is half the squad didn't play in the playoffs.
Only guys who have a valid excuse of being physically tired would be Booker, Holiday, and Middleton.

USA had won 25 Olympic games in a row so while this Olympics, so far, doesn't look promising, I don't think you throw out what we are doing and build a collegiate team when you have so many good options in the pros.

They'll still advance. Minor blip on the radar if they can win out from here.

I keep hearing that the big problem is our players keep whining to the refs looking for foul calls and stuff like that. but this aint the NBA and the refs arent playing those games. I wish NBA refs started officiating that way too. our NBA players are very talented. probably will win gold. but also just a bunch of soft entitled brats and thats likely why they are losing early

So, I needed to stock up on some Boulevard and Free State beerzos before I head back to lex tomorrow.
I go into the local beer store and the very nice cashier dude is watching USA and France play basketball. I say something about watching that over the Royals that are currently on and say something like and "yeah, we loo...., crap, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to spoil it." He was cool about and laughed, I still feel bad for spoiling it.
Defense. Rebounds.

Huh?
Guy averaged 14.7 points and 12 rebounds in the finals. Including a game where he had 22 points and 19 rebounds.
During the regular season he averaged 14.4 and 10.5
