Apparently there was some sort of loud explosion sound that was heard across several counties in central IL and nobody has any idea what it was yet. I was in the car with music going so i didn't hear it. But my wife heard it and said it scared the shit out of her.....her cousin who is 30min north of us heard it and said their police station had received countless calls all morning asking about it....and a golf course superintendent 45min south of us said they also heard it on the course.
Strange.
Edit: allegedly it was a sonic boom caused by a new boeing jet being tested by the military.
