Amateur night.

For the past 26 years, except for last New year's eve, we've hosted a New year's Eve party during which we do an old surrealist exercise of culling pictures from magazines and arranging them to convey a self-portrait of our previous year. Real low key, but there are great people, great conversation, great food, and excellent beverages. It's amazing to look back at all the wonderfully creative art that has been made at these parties.
That sounds cool. I like low key. Bars are just a waste of time and money and it’s never fun. Wake up hungover, been there, done that.

Making some chicken and noodle soup in the crockpot for the gf. Damn it smells good.

Wife and kids hang out. Wife and I split a bottle of wine. Watch the New Years Eve shows. Watch the ball drop. Do our best to stay up until midnight in God's Time Zone. Sometimes we succeed, sometimes we fail.

I’ll be in the neighborhood. People want us to come over at 6:00. That seems…early.

Yeah here too, although it’s south of me, but I can still here it in Brookside. Mostly fireworks where I live and it still freaks my boxer out.

I spent the day driving materials out to the Empire so the construction crew had supplies on Monday. Made it back to the Springs before dark. Now waiting for the fireworks show. We found out yesterday that the AdAmAn club climbs Pikes Peak every New Year's Eve and sets off fireworks. Considering that Superior CO is a smoldering ash right now, it seemed like an odd thing to be setting off fireworks in the mountains but OK. We will go out to the front yard and watch them blow up America's Mountain later tonight I guess. And if our internet holds up maybe make a short appearance at Defix's zoom party. We have nothing to make a collage this year, I will search through the junk mail and find some tape maybe.

happy 2022, suckas

good to see some things never change around here. pretty sad that other things stay the same as well
