KU still #1 and Duke now #2.
My worthless opinion is based on last night's games Duke > Kansas.

Good thing you don't run kenpom then.

Good thing I don't use Kenpom for anything other than statistical information and I am able to use a human brain instead of just numbers someone else compiled to conclude if one thing is better than something else.

A. It's early in the season so kenpom has little data to work with
and
B. If you played our Guess The Score with Kenpom picking the top 25 teams each week ( so give or take 50 games a week ) for the season, you'd loose miserably.
Miserably.

That is, unless you exactly followed Vegas's lines to the T, where Vegas books have admitted they use kenpom for evaluating spreads.

How'd you finish against KenPom in overall season GTS?

gutter is in prime gutter form.

Picking against KU in GTS. Devils advocate on every post. Inquisitive condescending tone.

Basketball season is here!!!

PDub - Kenpom as more data to work with than I do. Or at least uses more info.
I have little doubt you're right that I would lose against Kenpom picking the top 25 teams each week.
I also have little doubt that there would be teams that I see play that right off the bat I could assume correctly are better than their Kenpom rating and worse than their Kenpom rating by the end of the season.

Fish - Don't remember exactly but seem to recall one season I was on par if not better. I could be 100% wrong. Last night I purposely took MSU because I figured I would have an advantage right off the bat if KU lost. It's a contest in which I win nor lose any money based my guess.
If someone held a gun to my head and said if I didn't honestly pick what I felt would happen they would put a bullet in me - I'm thinking I would have predicted KU would win by about 7,8,9.

The people who win GTS here usually wait for the Vegas lines to come out and then alter the score a bit from the line.

The oddsmakers often use Kenpom to make that initial line.

Duke is no. 2 in kenpom...it's not like they're 9th or something.
Keep your gutterpants on.

Kansas has dipped to no. 9 but what is promising is that they are top 20 in both AdjO and AdjD.

Top 10 in AdjD.
