Since the unoffical name of the Big 12 CoY trophy is "The Coach Not Name Bill Self Who Finished Higher Than Picked in Preseason Polling Award" you are probably right that Adams has it wrapped up.

Big 12 CoY is the biggest joke of an award in the sport. It has gotten absurd. Fifteen Big 12 titles and just 6 Big 12 CoY awards.

Trophy should be named for him ten minutes after he retires.

The most egregious one to me that always sticks out is giving it to Tubby Smith in 2016.

Big 12 had like 5 top 25 teams, and 3 top 10 teams including OU that went on to a Final Four and had, by far, the best player in the league and one of the best players in league history.

KU won the conference by 2 games. Texas Tech finished 7th.
