I have heard of it referenced as different name from my time in the Navy but never what the answer called it.

I tried it on a whim because I was about 1500 km away on the 5th guess. I used the old name and it accepted, the new name came up in the suggested list

I gave up on yesterday's, Nueru or something. A speck in the middle of the Pacific. Today's was a little easier.

It’s one of the few outlines which is a near-perfect circle. Very few island nations are also single island. Got it on the third guess. Recently the outlines have been relatively straightforward (yesterday notwithstanding) - Israel, Tanzania, Iceland etc
