Las Vegas
Re: Las Vegas
but yeah, man I've been to Vegas more times than I care to admit.
I don't even like to gamble. I don't like shows, or fancy clubs either. I mostly just like my friends who like Vegas...plus no open container laws.
in hindsight, the coolest memories mostly include the outdoor excursions around Vegas. (red rock canyon is cool too)

Re: Las Vegas
two ways to drink in Vegas:
1. find a video poker machine at a bar, put in $10, and poke around on the thing pretending to gamble. The bartender will serve your complimentary beverage soon, at which point you can then cash out.
2. bring a case of natty lites down to the strip and set up shop. It's at least good people watching.

I don’t ever get on the strip, but also have never found what I would consider a good restaurant in Vegas
Re: Las Vegas
Flamingo pizza used to be awesome.
It's gone tho.

As far as buffets go, and you need to lower your expectations for buffets, the Bellagio's was the best buffet i've ever eaten at.
Re: Las Vegas
whaddya mean lower your expectation for buffets?

Golden Corral?
The build-yer-own-nachos bar at the sat shack?

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

The last time I was in LV was 1981, driving cross country. I stayed at Circus Circus for one night, for $15.95, and hit a $625 jackpot on a royal flush on a 5 card draw slot.
