I don't see where twocoach said anything about being a republican. Why would he provide evidence of that? Walker's own words seem to be evidence that he's been hit in the head too many times.

NPR got hold of 2+ hours of recorded conversations of a conference call between NRA leaders just after the Columbine massacre. Quite the interesting read.

My favorite part has to do with the possibility of shrinking their annual conference, scheduled for just after Columbine a few miles away in Denver:

"You know, the other problem is holding a member meeting without an exhibit hall. The people you are most likely to get in that member meeting without an exhibit hall are the nuts," says LaPierre.

"Made that point earlier. I agree," says Makris. "The fruitcakes are going to show up."

Says Hammer: "If you pull down the exhibit hall, that's not going to leave anything for the media except the members meeting, and you're going to have the wackos ... with all kinds of crazy resolutions, with all kinds of, of dressing like a bunch of hillbillies and idiots. I was told that a big reason we had Donald Trump as President was because conservatives got sick of being called idiots, hillbillies and wackos. Meanwhile, the NRA has been calling some of them that for decades from the looks of it so I am beginning to doubt the sincerity of their explanation.
