Completely unrelated: I will admit you have an uncanny ability to turn any and every topic into an argument of this type and nature. You may have a future in cable tv news.
You said "essentially your argument"...and then went on to talk about a football team from 15 years ago that I didn't mention. That's a strawman.

I consider KJ a big. He's listed as a power forward everywhere I can find him. He's played almost exclusively on the interior at KU. I consider power forwards as bigs. I also think bigs can be positioned on the perimeter at times within an offense.

You can disagree. You can also disagree without being a dick. I have not been a dick to you.

No, that's not what it is. It might be a different logical fallacy, and probably is.

Moving on, though, I thought what I said was a compliment?

It's interesting, though, that 24/7 Sports still uses the terms PG/SG/SF/PF/C. Those are terms from a bygone era. Early 2000's at the latest. Made much more sense in the 80's and 90's NBA. KU stopped using them quite some time ago. KU officially uses only "guard" or "forward." IMO, that still isn't quite right, but more correct than 24/7.

A backhanded compliment at best. More likely just being a dick because we don't agree.

All good, but I think we should be able to disagree politely on something as relatively meaningless as this discussion.

KU had Dok officially labeled as a forward and not a center?

If we play with KJ and Clemence we will be playing two bigs.

I wondered.

This was the post I was responding to...

"KU stopped using them quite some time ago. KU officially uses only "guard" or "forward." IMO, that still isn't quite right, but more correct than 24/7."

11 months out, but…

23) Utah Jazz (via PHI): Gradey Dick

Kansas, Freshman, 6-6

Stats per 40 minutes via Cerebro (2022 HoopHall Classic):
19.4 pts, 10.6 reb, 3.1 ast, 2.5 3PM, 1.9 stl (2 games, Sunrise Christian)

Draft Age: 19.5
From: Kansas

Earlier this year, I spoke to Gradey Dick after he was named Gatorade Player of the Year. Here is what I wrote about him at the time:

“He has enjoyed one of the greatest shooting seasons in high school basketball history. He thrives in the pick-and-pop when lifting to the perimeter, he knocks down his catch-and-shoot opportunities, and he can create off the dribble. He led all tournament players in total 3-pointers made at the Montverde Academy Invitational in 2021, per Cerebro Sports. He was then the scoring leader at The La Porte Invitational in 2022, averaging 21.7 points per game.”

Dick will compete for a spot in the starting lineup of the defending national champions at Kansas, according to head coach Bill Self.
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
