This happened 12 miles south of the Topeka 335 toll booth. Driven it many times. Basic stretch of highway.

Occurred at 3 am. Interstate travel at that hour is fraught with dangers.

Was alcohol involved?

The press release I read didn't mention that.

I would hope not.

Driving after attending a game 6 hours before on a desolate highway in early morning, one might nod off to sleep then swerve.

We've all done something like that before. Even sober.

I fell asleep once middle of the day on I70 heading West towards Ks (but still far away, like in PA). My brother punched me in the face. I was about 20 at the time. It worked, was wide awake afterwards... you’re right it happens, hope the kid recovers.

Btw, did he actually play at ku at one point? I just don’t remember him.

he played for KU last year, transferred to New Mexico, came back for an AFH game with his gf, and rolled the car driving from Lawrence to Wichita late after the game

and Gethro was 6'10" and serviceably athletic but hardly played

exclusively a 5, and behind DMac Mitch and Jalen on the depth chart

thanks. yeah, i signed up/on a few years ago, made a few posts but felt largely ignored (i used to post on the prior site too, sporadically). benched myself, worked on my game and matured a bit, and now i've decided to give it another go. its been better so far.
