There's something to be said about a freshman being asked to only be a role player.
And accepting it.

Odd rotation today. He rebounded well. Had 2 bad turnovers tho. Guessing Self figured he couldn’t handle the environment. Shame though because Grimes can’t defend or rebound for shit.

thought this would be cool to post in ochai's original thread. obviously he got drafted as a lotto pick by the cavs. I remember when he first committed to KU when he was in high school. his rival high school team was chanting something like "KU practice squad" at him during their game. they thought he wouldn't be good enough to play at kansas and would just be a scout team dummy.

He played at kansas. He started at Kansas. He was an all american at kansas. he won a national title at kansas. He was a lottery pick in the NBA draft. pretty awesome story for an unheralded recruit.. worth a mention

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

They do one for the men and one for the women, but leave those gender specific words out of the announcement so that the loonies don't light them up.
