This is, for some reason, sticking with me.
I just watched a documentary about Layne Staley, and the horrific conditions of the end of his life.
This was recorded just a few years before he was discovered, having been dead for over a week.
He weighed 87 lbs when he died .
So terrible.

I lived a couple blocks from the apartment they found him in. He used.to go into the bar on 45th, kind of a piece of shit bar...anyone I saw him in there once sitting in a back table by himself drinking. He was fucking tiny. I asked the bartender if it was Layne Staley he just kind sighed said...Overlander wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 12:27 am This is, for some reason, sticking with me.

That guy is awesome!
He looks like the guy you can find strolling into Mirage Trading Co by Crestone, wearing hemp sandals and super short Jorts.
Of course, he is dropping by for a coffee and one of those amazing burritos!

Exact words from a friend of mine who plays in a couple of fairly well known bands.....
"When a band is hungry, and on tour, and on fire.
(Very few can attempt to hold a candle even close to this band at this moment in time)"
P.S. He plays in this band and I was at this performance.....

Tho it would piss off Buddy Rich to no end to hear that. So let’s just say Art Blakey instead.
I should prob just post face jazzers in the satellite shack tho.

uh, Rick Allen?
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Surviving and transcending Ike was no small feat:

Re: What music does everyone listen to?
Seems the correct answer to the thread title question is.......
Taylor Swift. Minus me.
As I say too often, to each their own. She's not my cup of tea but gosh darn - there are shit tons of people who eat her up.
180,000 people (some I am sure going more than once) converging IN Soldier Field this weekend.
Another probably 30,000+ OUTSIDE Soldier Field.
She may be the second most popular person in this country. Go ahead, try and convince me she's not.
To me, this is the definition on insanity. Yes, I fully understand the _________ who bought tickets for the sole purpose of selling them is what affects the price. It's insane to me that people are paying those prices. Who cares if my kid/s can't go to college and get a college eduction because I spent thousands of dollars on tickets? At least she/he/they saw Taylor Swift perform in person.

This 20 city 52 concert tour is supposedly going to gross 1.6 BILLION dollars.
WTF?!?! 1.6 billion dollars can feed, clothe, and provide shelter, to a whole lot of people.
