Creighton's Arthur Kaluma and Tennessee's Julian Phillips both hit the portal at the deadline and I'd love to see KU go after them both, hoping to land one of them. Kaluma would be fantastic at KU.

Seems like Mbako wanted to be the guy instead of a guy.

From what I've read, his camp told KU on Thursday that he was committing to them on Friday, he supposedly also told Indiana that he was committing to KU. Yesterday morning Bill Self told a group of donors that it was going to be a good day as far as recruiting goes. Then, out of no where, Mgbako commits to IU (supposedly taking KU by surprise)...it was then leaked that douchbag Mark Cuban may have had a hand in upping the NIL money.

also remember when people told me over and over again that outside boosters wouldn't be impacting recruitment and that would still be against the rules blah blah blah.....

there are no rules, its a free for all and its a mess.

Seems like Mgbako wanted to make some extra money. That's fine. Someone else will fill the spot and KU will still finish ahead of IU in the rankings and in the tourney.

…where Kansas remains No. 1 thanks mostly to the addition of former Michigan All-American Hunter Dickinson.
A possible KU starting lineup now looks like this:

G: Dajuan Harris
G: Elmarko Jackson
G: Nick Timberlake
F: K.J. Adams
C: Hunter Dickinson

That's a starting lineup with size, shooting and experience. Combine it with the fact that Naismith Memorial Hall of Famer Bill Self — a man who has made 24 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and earned No. 1 seeds in 10 of the past 16 NCAA Tournaments — will be the person developing the roster and coaching the team, and I personally think the Jayhawks should now be considered the favorites to win the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

PWhitt’s favorite Mike Vernon reporting that Kevin McCullar is seriously considering coming back to Kansas.

That would change things tremendously.

Other than Hunter, McCullar would be by far the best (re)addition.
