shocker
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I believe you need to run your reasoning by randy; after all, we have been lectured quite a lot about how only informed votes should count.

What woulda happened to Mr. Informed's 401K if the MAGA loonies had tanked the economy for political purposes?

That's assuming there is a 401K in place...

McCarthy "saved" the negotiations by...giving Biden pretty much everything he wanted, and a two year agreement to boot.

You will not find a serious person who thinks McCarthy won anything of note here.

(And I think that's fine! I'm glad McCarthy didn't follow through on threats to actually "win" the negotiation, which would have cost your precious 401K dearly. But he's wearing the same clown suit today that he was wearing last week.)

(I guess it follows that you'd want someone who wins negotiations by giving up, to handle Russia/Ukraine. After all, that's exactly Trump's plan.)
