It's pretty much over with 7 minutes left. The old legs can't keep up, can't get a rebound.

Need some younger players. The old guys played hard but gave up too many offensive rebounds. I would say for this tourney you need to load up with shooters.

So weird that more of the younger KU guys don't play. McCormack, Frank Mason, Tariq Black, Wayne Selden, seems like we had some younger guys out there who could have played.

Needed guard play. Somebody that could go get buckets

Selden Dotson and Garrett were all originally linked to this squad but didn't play. Never heard why. Cause of nba summer league conflict?

Oh well

It was fun getting some late July basketball. Some flashes from the past. Fun watching those old guys

Garrett is with the Knicks summer league team, rumor has it Selden and Dotson (and Remy) dropped out based on advice from their agents; Perry's knee injury is supposedly always used as an example on why not to play in the TBT.

Didn't look it up but we had to be close to the oldest average age team in the tourney. Seems like we should be able to assemble a younger team. Also hurt not having Taylor available for this one.

Regardless of the outcome, this was a nice injection of mid summer basketball.
Random thoughts here
Vick and Tyshawn absolutely still got it
TRob does too, but I think its more of a product of him having way more actual NBA time than the aforementioned.

Love our dudes, but age catches us all...

he played 13ish minutes a game

who did you want him to play over?

Markieff? Marcus? TRob? or Withey?

Im also not sure its even worth mentioning to you but these pick up games aren't necessarily the best measuring stick for talent, particularly with no pros eligible. Not to mention the within a high level system like Self's.

None of them. But he could've played some minutes at the 3. He's a flat out bucket getter, was back then too
