People were seen on the streets "flipping off" the convicted rapist as he made his way through the city.

I saw the worst minds of my generation empowered by madness, bloated farcical naked,
dragging themselves through the whitewashed streets at dawn looking for a grievance fix.

These are just some of the MAGA sycophants who tried to discredit the January 6th committee. They are still in office. The threat still remains.

i’ve come to the opinion that this is a necessary and inevitable processtwocoach wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 7:54 am https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/03/media/ri ... index.html
This is the new normal.
it was bound to happen at some point
be can only hope that we come out of it a stronger democracy, and not a pseudo-autocracy
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Charges
I have concluded that there is no longer a meaningful portion of people who can be persuaded. If you’re not out on The Defendant by now, you are hooked for life. There is nothing you can’t or won’t find a way to justify or excuse or give a pass.

Agreed. Trump is not being charged for disputing the results of the election. But we've already seen our resident MAGA parrots share via repost here that same angle of stupidity as soon as it flowed through their social media accounts.KUTradition wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 9:32 am i’m starting to like Kinzinger more and more

Re: Charges
This arrogance and stupidity led The Defendant’s lead DC lawyer to go on the teevee last night and admit to a key portion of the government’s allegations. And there is established legal precedent in this context that the lawyer’s statement can be attributed to The Defendant. And the only real way to rebut that…would be for The Defendant to give testimony.twocoach wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 9:42 amAgreed. Trump is not being charged for disputing the results of the election. I'm starting a bottomless pit of popcorn.
Re: Charges
It is becoming apparent that The Defendant’s plan is:
1 - win in 2024 so as to unlock pardon power, or
2 - get the bought-and-paid-for Court to declare the Electoral Count Act to be unconstitutionally vague (to the point of unenforceability)
The problems with 1 are obvious. The main problem with 2 is that the Court is equally as craven as The Defendant, but universes smarter and savvier.
