Great coach, a generally miserable human. I lived in Indianapolis when he was fired. It was quite the lightning bolt decision as he was very polarizing. The typical person who hated the firing thought "kids these days" were candy asses and a coach should be allowed to physically abuse players if they won big games.

I hated Coach Knight when I was a kid, but learned to deeply appreciate him as an adult.
