Rice is a real star now. Hardman is puzzling. Catching everything last week. But a beatdown. And we all needed one

The many missed scoring opportunities were cringe worthy. Defense played lock down.

Hardman sucks and should be gone with MVS next season.

All in all, KC passed way more than I thought they would. Chiefs dominated Miami. Glad the fans who braved the elements got a to enjoy a solid ass kicking. Miami had one good play on a "just throw it up to Tyreek"and that's it.

I might keep Hardman at next to nothing.
Mvs could win mvp of the SB and still be cut at this point.

Get your mind around that.

I predict Hardman is going to be a Bear and be a cross between 2022/2023 Claypool (garbage) and 2021 Mooney (1000 yards 4 TD).

Back to the Chiefs. Is there a possibility that if the Bills beat the Steelers the Chiefs play the Bills on Saturday? I have to assume no. The NFL wouldn't make the Bills play a Saturday game after a Monday game, would they?

Rice is the only WR on the team who should be back and playing significant snaps next year.

I don’t really care if they want to keep Moore and Toney. They save $0 by cutting Toney and there’s still a remote chance than Moore becomes a serviceable #4 or #5 WR, but they need to go get a proven veteran, draft another day 1/2 WR, and grab a longer shot guy with high upside on day 3.

Yeah, no chance. They won’t make Buffalo play 5 days later when they’re already going to be at a ~2 day rest disadvantage. Plus, unless Philly-Dallas happens, Chiefs-Bills would basically be guaranteed first choice for SNF.

Dream?
Keenan Allen gets cut for cap reasons and he signs with us at a discount to chase a SB. Odunze falls to 20th and we trade up to grab him.
Second place dream?
Mike Evans signs with us at a pretty penny.
Realistic?
Curtis Samuel and Kendrick Bourne.

I love the Allen idea if they could actually get him at a discount for one year. On multi-year deals or at high prices, both Allen (32 next year) and Evans (31) scare me. And I think Evans is going to get something like 3/$60m+.

As long as we’re talking dream scenarios, mine is that they trade for DJ Moore. He’s young and, relative to ability, cheap for 2 more years. Chicago deciding to not tear things down completely makes that very far-fetched, though. Trading for Aiyuk would also be a dream scenario.

SF ain’t giving up Aiyuk to their competition but yes.

Chicago just landed DJ I don’t think they ship him out that early either…but I’d trade Chris Jones straight up for him if Chicago was down.

Deandre Hopkins I think is a possibility bc I think Tennessee is gonna purge. I’d like that even though his price next season isn’t particularly cheap.

Tyler Lockett probably also wouldn’t be moved bc he’s a Seattle fixture but who knows with Carroll out.

No disagreements here, though I think Aiyuk is actually more likely than Moore. SF is just a pretty sharp, analytical organization that probably doesn’t have the strong “trading a star to the competition” hangups that some orgs would. Still think it’s very unlikely, though.

I like the Hopkins idea. He’s old, but was still great this year despite bad QB play. Plus, I think he’s only $14m against the cap next year, and they could probably get TEN to eat a little more of it.

Curtis Samuel makes a lot of sense, with his versatility.

I’ve been high on Kendrick for his utility and wanted him to sign with the Chiefs ever since he left SF.

Now that he’s coming off injury he seems a perfect guy to roll the inexpensive die on. I think he woulda been a star here.

Fine with that too. I personally would prefer versatile types like that to older and more limited types. In part because I don’t think we know what exactly peak Rice looks like.
