i would have zero issue playing “small” against samford
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Yea, unfortunately, this.

Problem here is then we loose, at this point with an injured McCullar, our best offensive weapon.
If Hunter is healthy I think we gotta play him and as much as we can.
Their biggest starter gives up 5 inches and 35 lbs to Hunter so there will be easy baskets in theory if we can get him the ball near the basket. They are going to swarm him like bees.

Also their biggest starter AchorAchor, is also their best player so getting him on foul trouble will be a bonus.

I fully expect Dajuan to be just completely wide open on the perimeter...hope he knocks a couple down early.

Of note, at the start of the season they played Purdue and Edey had 16 points and 11 rebounds and basically didn’t play the second half.

They are susceptible inside.

My prediction: Jayhawks beat the socks off Samford. People worry too much, stop borrowing trouble.

This is why a team that'll shoot 35 3's ( and they will ) and shoot it at 39.3% ( which is 7th in the country just ahead of McNeese ) is troublesome.

WINS
6-20
6-21
3-18
8-29
9-29
8-26
8-23
9-26
8-24

65-216
30% 3FG
7.2 3PT per game

LOSSES
7-20
12-21
14-30
9-26
10-26
13-34
7-17
11-29
9-26

92-203
45.3% 3FG
10.2 3PT per game

Of course we can beat Samford - they lost by like 50 to Purdue to start the season - but my god do we have to cheat out on the perimeter...and i'll be nervous for their big to just let it fly vs a slow closing Hunter.
Great breakdown. Eye-opening. Well, I had my eyes open but even when I close them I see team after team swishing 3's.

I also hope this team proves me (and many of us) wrong by making a deep run in the tourney.

Porter Moser dumb for not accepting an NIT bid.
They'd be a 1 seed ( not that he probably cares ) and would get his team that should return most of their roster more tournament/game action.

Meanwhile ksu and UCF get in and are playing.

rick pitino said, without saying it, that he declined the nit so he could get a head start on the portal.

True.
I don't know why but that totally skipped my mind.
Yea, fuck em. Good job Moser.

At least we went undefeated v the defectors.
Dunno when we'll play them again.

Looks like tip time for the KU game Thursday night is a rather late 9:55pm eastern time start since they are in Salt Lake City.

There is not a single outcome that would surprise me. And that's a bit unusual for our first round game!

Right.
We could win 90-67.
We could win 74-71.
They could win 73-70.
They could win 83-64.

Exactly! Most of the time I feel comfortable ruling out ONE of those four outcomes. Not here.
